I really HOPE that jones can turn his ship around, but he lost control of it SO long ago. he needs help. Serious help, Rehab, Christ, Therapy... whatever I never like saying things like some folks are beyond redemption but jones has clearly shown that he does not learn from his mistakes.

He needed to be held accountable when he still had a chance to turn it around. He is who he is now. Not that he can't still change, but he's got 35 years on this earth being this way. He only has half his story left to write and it will take at least 35 more years to unravel the fucked up mindset he's created. There are no shortcuts in life. You gotta put in the work. Jon is a straight up sociopath though so I don't know that he will ever actually want to change. He believes he's the victim somehow.

there isn't a specific time in the US, maybe there is in some states but not in general. Most laws in the US are actually set by the state so some might still have common law marriage but I know it's generally called a "myth" in the US.
