Crime Cohen pleads guilty, says he lied

Trump junior took a meeting at trump tower he believed to be with the Russian government to get dirt on Hillary as part of a Russian effort to help his father.

What is illegal about that unless he was paying for it?

Do you think that any crimes committed that don't directly link to Russian conspiracy should just be ignored? Campaign finance, tax evasion, money laundering, etc.

No, I dont ever think known crimes should be ignored. I take issue with how they came to light to begin with.

There's substantial proof of collusion. The trump tower meeting with diaper don is proof enough. That was revealed like a year ago.

Exactly which part of the meeting was illegal? Be specific please. Which law was broken?

The sweey seeet hypocrisy of people against restoring voting rights to felons now don't care about the president committing felonies.

He may end up being one of the greatest ever but he certainly won't go down as one. He will go down as everything liberals say about him now they, with the help of the media and deep state, will write the history of this time.

Hopefully not, but there's potential for that to happen that's for sure.

I don't understand. One has to do with opposing a witch hunt; the other has to do with those that have already been convicted. Sure, many of those that were convicted were indeed innocent, but that's where your hypocrisy comes in.

He didn't inform the FBI, took the meeting, hid the fact that he had the meeting, then when it was exposed it was a nothingburger because it pertained to adoptions. And there are still people regurgitating nothingburger.

Witch hunt . . .

Which felony exactly has Trump committed and are there any similar cases? Howd those cases play out? Wishful thinking on your part

It's clear Russia interfered in our election. Cohen is clearly guilty. It REALLY looks like Donny Moscow was compromised while directing criminal activity.

Can't you guys just find someone who ISN'T crooked as fuck to champion your causes?

"Fruit from the poisonous tree"
Fruit from the poisonious tree doctrine applies where evidence is obtained in violation of the fourth amendment. It is a basis for excludibg additional evidence, eveb if otherwise validly obtained, that was derived from the initial violation. It can then be used to challenge convictions that rely on the excluded evidence.

I'm not sure which of the relevant cases you think it applies to. Manafort's? Cohen's? What's the initial violation, here? What evidence and convictions does it invalidate?

It takes a special kind of confirmation bias to come to the conclusion that A is guilty of X because B is guilty of Y and is associated with A, though Y does not equal X. The logic just doesn't add up.

Please, explain the calculus.

The connect the dots game is an easy one if the witch hunt was focused on the Democrats. As Dan Bongino explained, Obama created the one away rule to subpoena anyone's email contacts who was in contact with anyone who's committed an indictable offense.

And Democrats can take ownership of this war 100%. It doesn't bode well when the FBI is complicit meanwhile dismissing almost immediately Uranium One though at least 145 million was given from the Russian company granted 20% of US Uranium under Obama and Hillary deal-making and though the law is no Uranium would go out of country, which some of it was to at Iran least. 145 million tor the Clinton foundation. Oh, but Mueller was involved back then, so nothing. Just another swamp charade court like Benghazi.

If these crimes are proven it will be because a crook thought he could become President and then bury any investigation if he came into power. He thought he'd be the boss of the government they way he was with his business.

So failure to disclose is the grand charge you have? No quid pro quo, just meeting and talking with foreign nationals is your Russia burger? Much like campaign finance violations, I really dont care.

Association isn't enough. Unless the association is directly relevant to the criminal action.
For example, if it includes A directing B to do Y, A is exposed to criminal liability if Y is a criminal action.
