Smith married a feminist in 1999 and his stuff went downhill pretty fast from there.

He went from edgelord to trying to make his edgy takes fit within an acceptable feminist mold.

I was a long time member of his View Askew message board before it became overrun by Feminists who call literally EVERYTHING sexist. Once Jen was in charge of that board, it went from moderately like Mayberry lounge to "you can get banned for the weirdest things.". The only personalities allowed were white knights and Feminists. Anyone else would get brigaded.

Like seriously. We had a star wars thread and Spork_Girl and Katy decided to come in and talk about how Star Wars is super sexist and that Princess Leia in a metal Bikini was outrageous misogyny, whispered in Jenn's or Americo's ear and got the thread locked until the participants of the thread were willing to acknowledge it and the toxic masculinity surrounding star wars.

Kevin abandoned his boards for twitter years earlier so him shutting it down was almost a blessing.
 
Do you have that one with that guy who was in that movie that was out last year?

I'll watch it but not holding out any hopes. I actually liked Clerks II. I named a message board offshoot picklefucker and my username on myspace for a while was pillowpants.

Now that you mention it Jason Lee's character may just have been his strongest character second to Randall.
 
A couple years ago Jason Mewes told me that there wouldn’t be a Clerks 3 because Jeff Anderson was retired and they couldn’t do it without him. I thought that it probably wouldn’t work anyway since nowadays it’s tough to have a character say outrageous and offensive things, which is the main part of Randall’s identity. I dunno. I hope it’s good.
 
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot was something terrible. Smith's daughter isn't all that great as an actress and he (understandably to some degree) insists on featuring her as one of the main stars of his movies these days.

Enjoyed both all the other Askew movies to some extent, other than Reboot.

...I'll more than likely watch Clerks 3 and Mallrats 2.
 
offically in production now.
Im suspecting his kid to be involved in it again like his last few fuck ups so not sure....but will wait and see and more than likely watch
