I did a doom 1 EP 1 run without dying

Want to see how good I do in EP 2 - shores of hell. Not sure if I can pull that one off

I also like doing maps sometimes and play testing maps for ppl

Still trying to work out a new PC situation too

I'm about to have a week off from work. Hope to get some sun and hikes in

Yeah I’ve been on a doom kick so I’ve been enjoying your vids, the non-doom ones are good too! I just played through doom 2016 finally, a few weeks ago, now thinking about playing some of the older ones again

Sun and hikes sounds good. Shitty cold/snowy weather we’ve had the last few weeks up here. Rainy too. Hopefully gets nicer soon

Yeah I have a ridiculous pile videos on there

Most are me playtesting maps random creators make

A lot of first-time mappers and some interesting or terrible maps haha

I'm on the east coast of Canada land by the way

What a mess. Makes me look like a savant.


UPDATE: I've been plugging away at my second level. My initial concept didn't work, some of the commands I would have needed don't exist in the base game. I'll have to give that idea another try later in zdoom format (it has a much larger command set with more options). So I had to drop that plan and do a more traditional layout. I'd say I'm about 2/3rds of the way through and am taking a break from layout to do texturing on everything that I've finished so far. I'm doing the level as if it were an E2 level so I'm taking my texture groupings from those levels to make sure it fits the feel. It was at ~280 enemies and ~7 secrets last I looked.

Can't wait to play it. Hopefully I have my new computer by then
 
@Clippy I've got it basically done. It's significantly more difficult and complex than my last level. This is a Doom 1 level, specifically it replaces E2M8 - Tower of Babel. It should at least be playable, I went through it and beat it on UV myself (but I also know every monster placement and all the secrets, so it might be tough blind, dunno). Oh, and at ~380 monsters and a dozen secrets it might take a while. Have fun!

Might give it a whirl tonight then haha

Ppl have been complaining my outdated zdoom makes their levels look bad :P

Bring able to play them properly will be good among other things.
