I wish they had just added more levels to Doom 2

The new episode is just annoying and mostly not fun

They did. The Master Levels. They were nothing special iirc.

Final Doom might as well have been an expansion too.

All the levels were a collection of seperate wads so you had to start with a pistol. No story.

Icarus was one of many wads made for Doom. I really liked the fan made Plutonia 2. It had sequels to Hunted (Arch-Violence) and Go 2 It (Go For It) and an awesome soundtrack.

I never tried Plutonia 2 but I have it - took a quick look and am not sure about it have to actually play it - looks quite different at a glance

One thing I like to do instead of saves is play wads through on multiple-player mode ... by myself

In multiplayer there's extra monsters and stuff and if you die .... well you just res back and all your killed monsters and progress is still there

Then I take a drink every time I die

It's a good time actually

Just post -host 1 in the command line

Why I hate Eternal Doom

Keep the game play fun and don't have oppressively long levels - why I like Plutiona better than TNT

Haha, they're not all like that, trust me. That's Level 29. I did spend about 3 hours on it, mainly because it had a super secret where you had to find 5 or 6 Commander Keens and kill them to unlock a special room.

That sounds convoluted and crazy

Level 29 on Plutonia 1 is quite huge as well but it's a very fun level imo

How does Plutonia 2 compare to 1?

Plutonia doesn't have much of a look about it but I think it's hella fun game play

It was, but it wasn't required to complete the level and I don't believe that it's part of the official secrets if you're going for 100%.

Plutonia 2 captures that "feel" of Plutonia 1, but it's still original. Very well done.

Hey guys hey I don't think I ever made a thread in this section before

I don't really play games - er modern games. But I always been a fan of classic doom. This is a game I could play forever! When I took networking in high school we all just played doom all the time

Anyway I got some screen recording software and am attempting to beat all the levels with just a pistol start and 100% kills and secrets

I finished all four episodes of ULTIMATE DOOM and am now working on Doom 2

I just recorded this!



If anyone cares I'll keep updated if I manage to complete this

This was the hardest map in Thy Flesh Cosumed for me. The difficulty was all over the place in E4 and you could tell the developers were concentrating on other projects at the time.

Haven't played the old Dooms in a long time... a long time. I think the last time was when I Doom 3 on Xbox, the version I bought had the originals. I'm looking forward to getting into Doom 64 when Eternal comes out
