Circling The Arguments (SCO thread v. 32)

Totally agree. I just want Congress, and the American people, to have all the information so we can draw our own conclusions.
An example: If the Trump campaign was seriously entertaining offers but ultimately didn't go through with them, and left it on a wink and a nod that acknowledged their efforts would work well with Russian government efforts, but without direct collaboration, we abso-fucking-lutely deserve to know that.

That’s exactly what’s happening.

You’re the conspiracy theorist claiming Barr is hiding something. Have patience grasshopper.
It's not a conspiracy theory, Bobby. He's literally hiding the entire report so far.

Literally.

You realize it doesn’t matter what you conclude, right?

Barr had the final say. It’s over.

Homers clearly stuck in the denial stage...

What is the deal with these Homer guys? I came here in 2017, and only ever came to sherdog for the pbp shit before that. I saw Homer Thompson, who got banned, then I see Hunter Thompson/Diamond or whatever.

Is is the same guy? Someone just clear up my kunfooshun.....

BarryDingle is Homer

It is known.

Actually Barr's view of the Mueller report is 'no say.' Its worthless once the report is done. All of his say (an AG) matters on the gathering of the info but not on the analysis post any decision to not indict.

It is pure propaganda for Trump. It is Barr jumping both feet into the Roy Cohn role Trump said he was auditioning for.

Fact. Nothing Barr has said in his report of the report is binding or meaningful to Congress.

Oh' and don't forget that Barr is working hard to get the full report released ASAP, because he's obviously hiding something...

I seriously can't wait to see their spin when the full report shatters what's left of their pathetic dreams.

Let's see if he actually releases the "full report", or if he redacts a lot to protect the "personal privacy" and "reputational interests" (his words in his recent letter to congress) of Team Trump in what he releases. I would be pleasantly shocked if he actually comes through on transparency.

And we already know a lot of bad things when it comes to Trump, things that were bad enough that Trump tried to obscure and lie about when it comes to business and campaign interactions with the Russians, let alone on the obstruction front where his lawyers wouldn't dare let him be interviewed out of fear that he would perjure himself ("guess" as Dowd said publicly, Trump's "a fucking lawyer" as Dowd said privately) and where Trump was praising and encouraging Manafort and Stone to stay silent while not saying that he would rule out a pardon, and he pardoned Scooter Libby along the way to show that people who don't rat get pardons. If a Dem did 10% of that right wingers would be losing their minds.

Whether or not to impeach is a Congressional decision not an Attorney General's decision. So, no Barr doesn't have the final say.

So you do not understand Congress Constitutional role.

Good you acknowledge that.

I’m well aware thanks.

He’s likely removing anything that defames anyone not charged with a crime, as the law requires.

Homer and Hunter aren't the same dude.

HomerThompson was a prominent lefty poster around here(and disgraced former POTWR), until he went batshit crazy, and landed himself the most infamous banning of all time. Now he's back as BarryDillon.

Ok ok, thanks. What did he get banned for, exactly?

I can fathom it just fine. Just not with you, who has contradicted that notion with every post you've ever made. You're a hack. Own it. Own it like Homer. At least he doesn't play these stupid fucking games when the chips are down. All you're doing is trying to protect your ego, just in case the results aren't what you're really hoping for, so you can claim "I like, didn't care about any of this anyways, okay."

Ok, so find me one post where I claimed any sort of personal stake in this investigation.

Actually it is more than likely that Mueller did not expect or want Barr to opine as he did.

Prior precedent is if the Special Counsel decides there is not evidence to indict they provide the file and all info to Congress to determine if there is a case for Impeachment.

Barr opining as he did is completely unprecedented and quite worthless in actuality other that for pure propaganda for Trump.

No one should doubt Barr is Trumps new Roy Cohn and a complete patsy.

Although he is certainly partisan, I don't think Barr is a corrupt evil fuck like Cohn, I just think he has a doctrinaire view of the presidency that puts Trump above the law, and possibly above congressional oversight if chooses to protect the "personal privacy" and "reputational interests" of Team Trump over actual transparency.

Ok ok, thanks. What did he get banned for, exactly?

As I understand it, he was essentially banned for disrupting the forum, and trying to get people banned. Reporting people became his "schtick", and he went way, WAY too far with it, and the mods had enough of it, and after repeated warnings/infractions he got the hammer. Oh', and he also e-mailed Crave over some OT nonsense.

I think that when you knowing advertise for a job with the POTUS as Barr did and you plan to not recuse yourself despite what ethics office says and you know you plan to provide the coverage the POTUS desires, that is very corrupt. He did not go in to be an arbiter or neutral in the process. He went in with his mind went up to end it.

It would be different if he was in that position and acted on his beliefs but he wanted to gain power to subvert a process as if his (Barr's) view was unassailable and therefore deserved to be put in place to become arbiter.

So I don't give him a pass.

Who are you again?
It's called grand jury information. It's a protocol that people not charged with crimes are to be protected. It takes time to redact it. Settle in. Democrats were willing to give Mueller unlimited time to work on his investigation, so now they can give a few weeks to censor private information in this report.

1. A sitting president cannot be indicted.
2. Anything that makes Trump look bad must be removed.

Sounds like the Mueller Report Barr releases will fit on the tax form the GOP promised.
