Circling The Arguments (SCO thread v. 32)

We don't know this, and I don't believe it to be accurate. Barr took the power for himself.

That's a matter for Congress, and precedent in these matters shows that.

Homers clearly stuck in the denial stage...

He left the decision to indict to Barr and the decision to file any other charges or subpoenas rests with Congress.

You're arguing that the President was exonerated by the Mueller report, while the fraction of the report we have contains the line that Mueller is explicitly NOT exonerating him.

You can't spin your way out of this, but keep trying.
Actually it is more than likely that Mueller did not expect or want Barr to opine as he did.

Prior precedent is if the Special Counsel decides there is not evidence to indict they provide the file and all info to Congress to determine if there is a case for Impeachment.

Barr opining as he did is completely unprecedented and quite worthless in actuality other that for pure propaganda for Trump.

No one should doubt Barr is Trumps new Roy Cohn and a complete patsy.

I seriously can't wait to see their spin when the full report shatters what's left of their pathetic dreams.

What's amazing is how little you can conceive of people wanting transparency. Unlike partisan twats like yourself, I'm not hoping for a particular result. I wanted an investigation into election interference and the trump campaign. We got that, and a lot of people from that campaign are in jail or otherwise pleaded guilty to crimes. You guys always gloss over that part, because you strangely only care about trump.

Now that said investigation is concluded, I'd like to have as much of it released publicly as possible. Transparency, such a shocker for you guys.

What's hilarious is watching all of your comments. You just can't conceive of a world where people don't have a personal stake in this investigation, and aren't going to take a specific result as a win or a loss.

Agreed. And Congress should grow some balls and exercise that subpoena power until the contents of the Special Counsel's investigation are made public.

In short, I don't care what any political figure "wants." Just make the report public and we can all draw our own conclusions.

His last letter left open the possibility of 399 blacked out pages and one line that says no collusion. Subpoena flies shortly. Fly well brave bird!

You are aware why a lot of information will be redacted though, right? I know you like conspiracies, but they have this thing called "privacy" which people who give grand jury testimony are entitled to. It's a lot more complicated than your pea brain can comprehend.

Precedent is for all the materials to be given to Congress, so they can inform the people, and so they can conduct their constitutionally mandated duty as a check on the power of the Executive Branch.

Ever heard of protecting sources and methods?

Ever heard of transparency?

Redact what is necessary, release what's not, and don't take too long in doing so. It's not that hard bob.

Oh' and don't forget that Barr is working hard to get the full report released ASAP, because he's obviously hiding something...

I seriously can't wait to see their spin when the full report shatters what's left of their pathetic dreams.
Except he is not.

Again precedent is that in prior cases to release the Grand Jury testimony a simply court order needed to be sought. No court would refuse it if you understand why it was released in the past and why it is not allowed to be released in general.

Why does Barr want to prevent being seen the best 3rd party, non partisan evidence available when there is no longer a reason to shield it?

Lest we forget in Barr's written interview to the POTUS he espoused on how a POTUS cannot obstruct as he is the boss and also said Mueller "Should not be permitted to demand that the President submit to a interrogation about alleged obstruction" as Barr again believes you cannot obstruct an investigation you, as POTUS are the head of and therefore you would be obstructing yourself.

No other legal scholars have come out in view of what many call Barr's expansive and dictatorial view of POUTS powers.

Pfft...ROFL!

Who da fuck do you think you're fooling? It blows me away how you Libs still try to play the objective centrist card when you're on the losing end of your own delusional nuttery, as if your post history isn't available, and your motivations are unclear.

You claiming not to have a side in all this, is as about as convincing as CNN claiming not to have an agenda against Trump.

Give it a fucking rest, you dork.

True, and I mispoke. He handed the report off the Barr, as per protocol, likely intending it to reach Congress in short order. Barr is taking weeks to redact a report. Until then, we can only speculate as to everything that Mueller found.

What I'm getting at with all this is, I don't care what any political figure wants, when we can have that data for ourselves and determine our own opinions.

But yes, I agree that Barr's interception and stalling here are unprecedented and likely partisan.

As I said, it's impossible for you to fathom that anyone isn't a rabid partisan like yourself.

Keep projecting liberal tears onto people though, if that makes you feel better.

No its not.

You are ignorant of history.

Do you know why Grand Jury testimony is not allowed to be disclosed by law? Show me you actually know what you are talking about and explain.

Protip. It is not privacy and is not complicated.

Barr is diverting from prior precedent and trying to protect information that has been shared with Congress in all prior such situations. Do you wonder why?

It's quite a bad habit he has, don't know why the Canadian Trump Worshiper loves instilling labels and feelings onto people.

I can fathom it just fine. Just not with you, who has contradicted that notion with every post you've ever made. You're a hack. Own it. Own it like Homer. At least he doesn't play these stupid fucking games when the chips are down. All you're doing is trying to protect your ego, just in case the results aren't what you're really hoping for, so you can claim "I like, didn't care about any of this anyways, okay."

Totally agree. I just want Congress, and the American people, to have all the information so we can draw our own conclusions.

That’s exactly what’s happening.

You’re the conspiracy theorist claiming Barr is hiding something. Have patience grasshopper.

You don't protect methods and sources from Congress you dufos.

Do not what Congress Constitutional role is?

They’re the folks you need to redact for most of all. They leak like granny’s bladder.
