Media Chuck Liddell's delcline dont make any sense..

This. For a guy who was renowned as a great striker, Liddell was...awkward. Had he not had an insane amount of durability, he would've lost a LOT more fights earlier in his career.

People forget, Metzer and Overeem had him hurt, Metzger even dropped him, before Liddell got up and killed him,...geez, Metzger looked dead. Point being, he always had bad striking defense, but he was an animal and had a chin in those days, he could get up, except Rampage lol, Liddell never got up in Pride from that beating.

It makes complete sense. His striking style was all about taking massive risk for reward and then he got older and slower.

Brain damage from drugs and trauma and being like 50 bro. 5 years can make a huge difference when you are 45 and 50

Vegas got to Chuck the way it got to Nicky Santoro.

Between all of the partying (drugs/alcohol) he did, and a few bad knock outs, you have to assume there’s some neurological damage there.

Rewatched the last fight and damn its just as bad as I remember. You could tell what chuck was trying to do because it looked like the way he used to fight, but he looked sooo much slower than he did when he was still fighting regularly. There was a shot in particular, a right straight I believe. Had his speed been like in his prime he might have landed and hurt tito with that shot, but tito had time to not only dodge but counter it all before it even had a chance to land.

Luckily for Chuck, Tito missed. Also the KO was sad, he got clipped once, got hurt, but couldn't get away because he was so slow, then tito landed the follow up and it didn't even look full force and you can see chucks brain just shut off.
