Don’t like this at all.

Go box or something, anything that doesn’t involve leg kicks.

I'd love to see Weidman prove me wrong, but Bruno Silva is too dangerous imo and competent enough of a wrestler.

It's crazy how much the UFC desperately clings to any name recognition they can. They give absolutely washed fighters a higher profile than their best up and coming prospects. And Dana loves to shit on boxing's smash and grab approach, take a look in the mirror fester

Let's give him the guy who tkod brad, the last guy to pulverise the chris. Also the man who could survive a whole fight with poatan. What could go wrong?

Oh god, this is gonna be hard to watch I feel.

Chris is one of the fighters I think should quit for his health.
He has both unbelievable victories and defeats.

Big Weidman fan here and I wish he'd retire. I feel like the people around him are enabling him and it's going to get him hurt, even more than it already has. Poor guy has too much mileage and too many surgeries.

Rooting for Bruno Silva. He had some nice wins like Alexander Shlemenko and Brad Tavares along with losses to legit fighters like Alex P and Shara bullet. Let's hope he gets a nice rebound off Weidman and stays in the game.

I would watch Chris Weidman versus Al Iaquinta in a special series called "Flip and Fight." Both men have to flip a house in Long Island together then fight for the property sale. It would combine home reno and TUF.

UFC has no problem booking squash matches for fighters they want to build... but jeez, they want Chris to die in the cage. Is there literally no CM Punk type regional guy they can sign for a retirement fight.

The puzzling thing is Bruno isn't necessarily a guy they're even trying to build at this point. After the Pereira fight, he's settling comfortably into his role as a dangerous brawler who guards the top 15; he's a fun action-fighter, but seems to be outgunned against elite opposition. A really, truly cynical matchup would've been Shara Bullet or Roman Kopylov vs Chris Weidman. This one just sort of seems nonsensical.

Chris might be able sqeak a decision if he somehow survives Bruno's surges with an exhausting grapplefuck, but most likely, he gets knocked out. So what good does it really do for the UFC?

two dudes who are 1-4 in their last 5.

Not sure why Bing gave them both weird kimbo slice tats

Weidman took such little damage for like his first 9 UFC fights. Then holy moly the floodgates opened. He is not going to have a pleasant retirement.

Doesn’t matter who Chris fights, he can’t win. Should’ve sacrificed him to Bo Nickal
