Weidman has a better chance of wrestling here since Silva doesn't have Tavares' insane TDD or as technically sharp.

But I can't see his cardio holding up. Weidman wins the 1st round for sure and the 2nd I think we start seeing him slow down and take visible damage and when he gasses in the 2nd or 3rd I think Silva walks him down and brutalizes him for a finish. Silva isn't skilled as Tavares but he's got a ton of heart and is strong enough to survive the subs early with striking that won't be bothered by Weidmans half committed striking.

Yeah.. this is a more favorable fight for Weidman than Tavares.

Bruno Silva is not a top contender but he is legit.

watching this interview after the Tavares fight is horribly sad. he seems punch drunk and out of it. Olivi acting extremely snide and condescending. I honestly can't believe they aired this.

It's really sad. I don't agree with your take on Olivi. I thought she was very professional and asked a few real questions. I'd like to see Chris find something he excels at where he can not sacrifice his health any further. Maybe Al can help him get going in real estate or something like that.

Yeah this isn't really a measurable step down in competition for Weidman, something he plainly needs (other than retirement). For every way you could argue that he has more ways to beat Bruno than he did Tavares, he also has just as many ways of getting brutally finished comparatively -- a threat Brad didn't really present...

They should have given Chris someone like GM3, Dumas, Fremd, or even Barbarena lol.
