Chris Weidman Doesn't Want to Make 'Rushed Decisions' on MMA Future

It's gotta be the "Black Parade" thing.

No other explanation.

I mean, I was born in Africa to white parents, my mother was of Irish/German heritage, my father of Italian and Native American heritage.

But I classify as African American because I was born in Africa, but I am American.

I hope that clears things up a bit.

It’s that competitive wrestling background. Probably feels like he’s missed a lot of good years of his career from injuries and wants to do it for as long as he can. It’s not a money thing, I’m sure he has a fat contract.

Idc for his health anymore. He's an eyepoking pos who insult Bruno Silva and cried when he couldn't milk the grounded opponent rule against Mousasi.

I’ll keep watching Teh Chris lose as long as he’s willing to put his health on the line and the UFC are stupid enough to pay him

I did feel bad for him, certainly don't after what he said after eye poking Silva repeatedly.

I kinda enjoy his brutal downfall.

Still his stats vs Hall are unlikely to ever be repeated.

Watching bad things happen to bad people is a wonderful but guilty pleasure.

My boy still can be champion again.

At least that's what he thinks.

Great points.

I think he really thinks he will be champion again one day.

The confidence he had to be champ is still there, but now he is working against father time and 40 surgeries.

It is time to retire, he won't be champ ever again. All he is doing is more damage to not only his body but his brain. You can tell by the quotes he has nothing else to do, so he just does this.

He and the UFC will milk whatever is left of his name will be fed to up and comers until he loses a few more.

Chris is getting Eryk Anders who is a complete bum to build his confidence back up. He will probably win and talk about him being back.

The problem with people like Chris is they think it's entirely age related. When it's actually mileage and the fact that you've had massive injuries and bad KOs. What doesn't kill does not in fact, make you stronger.

41 yr old here, i still practice martial arts but i'm heavier and slower than when i was on my 20's.
Many injuries from judo, bjj, boxing, sanda & karate (shotokan karate is my current martial art).

i don't know how Wonderboy can still fight on the elite level, that guy is a monster. I'll always root for the old guys cause i know how you are always in pain, always with some kind of injury.

I also got my elbow injured by throwing a paper plane, not kidding.
But i can still do kumite with not big issues, just weird old man things

Weidman is looking for that career post championship that Anderson Silva had where you lose your way until you're mid 40s

He's UFC fighter, he isn't rolling in cash.

I would require a 23 and me genetic report on that claimed Native American heritage
In the 1970s amd 80s America , approx 50% of white Americans claimed it
I had a distant cousin who claimed it online for years and I never called her out

As an ex champion with the name recognition he has who has been fighting for as long as he has, he most certainly is rolling in cash compared to your average or even above average person.

The average person doesn't have the house and car payments he has when he was on top. How long exactly do you think his last fight purse will stretch?
