it's weird that he thinks it's his age when he literally says before that his body has "adjusted" to MMA and he knows there's spots he has to stay away from otherwise he'll get hurt. it reads like a guy with a fragile body being held together by duct tape and spit figuring out what he can still do and what he can't do anymore and trying to modify his training/tactics/strategy around this diminished part of his game.
