Chris van Heerden's response to Conor's sparring video

From what I understand Chris talked smack about Conor's boxing on social media pretty much straight after they put in rounds together...before this video. Maybe I missed something and Conor spoke first, but I remember seeing a thread about Chris tweeting negative stuff immediately afterwards bout Conor's boxing which is not cool in my eyes.

All I have seen is a edited video from Conors team, a interview with the boxer (I posted it in here).
To me it sounds like Conors teams asked for sparing and Chris agreed to it.
They went 6 rounds and Conor makes a edited video to look better than he is. Boxer gets pissed.

And even IF the boxer talked smack over the internet before the sparing session, he had just been away from the gym for one month and had no training done. Pussy move to try and teach him a lesson or what ever Conor wanted to do.

Nah, from the thread it was Chris talking smack about Conor's boxing AFTER they sparred, not before. Which is a shitty move in my opinion. Again, perhaps Conor or his camp made a comment first, I can't be sure. For EITHER of them to talk shit after a SPARRING session is a low act.

That said, the interview that you posted seemed fair.

I haven't seen anything at all since these 2 threads pops up on SD.
So I cant argue one or the other really.

I was just arguing you saying that YOU personally if you were a pro boxer would not say anything.
And I argued that I think that you would :)

The rest of the she said he said.. Well I am not up to date at all.
And I do think that if you spar with someone in training keep it behind locked doors or let the sparring partners see your videos beforehand and give a green light to publish.

If you cant spar /help out a fighter with out the fear of being video filmed and put on internet to make the other fighter look good... well....

This Boxer has mental problems. Any decent mma figther kills him in 1 minute in a real fight

Haha well I think that we are really on the same page, but have had miscommunication. My initial comment about how if I was a pro boxer I would not say anything was more in response to the original circumstance that Chris had talked smack...the whole thing being escalated further with the video Conor posted and his subsequent response.

So reading what you have just written we are actually completely on the same page in our stance with how sparring should be undertaken and handled. :D

LEL.

Chris Van Aldo.

He should thank Conor for giving him the spotlight. Prior to the session only people in South Africa knew who he was. Lucky Conor didn't include the 12th round...my sources tell me it's when Conor stiffened him with the right...you heard it...the right hand!

This guy is a piece of shit, he's the one who first released a video of a segment of the session where Conor wasn't looking great and then he tried to get his 15 minutes of fame by talking shit.

That shit should be staying in the gym.

And he has the cheek to talk shit, he was clearly salty about an MMA fighter coming in and roughing him up.

Here's the gym owner and former Olympic boxer who was ringside for the sessions opinion.

Eli seckbak is worse than 2 ariel helwani's.

I think it's relative on the person and their physical attributes on what discipline will work the best for them.

Athleticism helps but I have always said for years now that it will only do so much for a fighter. Phil Davis is ridiculously athletic but there's a handful of light heavies much less athletic than he is who are just better martial artists.

Apologies if I missed your point.

Alright..

The video McGregor put up is obviously edited to show his good parts, but it's still 6 minutes of sparring. You can't make someone look good for 6 minutes out of what, 4-6 rounds, if they get worked.

The other video was an even smaller sample size, and Conor still didn't look terrible there.

Conor was clearly dominating this boxer

Why would a pro boxer talk shit and be so salty AFTER a sparring session before Conor has said anything?

Because he performed like crap and knows it. That is why he came out with all the excuses in the video, he is embarrassed by his performance against a MMA fighter.

did you see the unedited video? Because the boxer does not look like crap in that one.

Yes, the boxer and Conor look fairly equal in the unedited video. Probably why he is so salty, he didnt dominate him like his boxer brothers wanted
