Chris van Heerden's response to Conor's sparring video

I am talking about the most basic boxing technique that most mma guys lack. Such as dropping your arm after a jab, dropping arms exposing their chin while punching with the other hand, lack of head movement, etc.
Things I am talking about have nothing to do with mma being a different sport with different dynamics. Those are basics that are applicable in both sports. MMA guys just lack even the basics which is crazy if you think about how much they train.

For me Boxing isn't the best discipline to build your striking game around. You can't slip knees from a Thai clinch.

Boxing is the sport of punching.
If you are learning punching not from boxing you are making a mistake.
The kind of mistake guys like Conner take advantage of.
Until of course they meet their equal in a Diaz brother who, what a surprise, is also a boxer lol

Don't bother, MMA fans tend not to respect boxing and the amount of skill involved. For me at the end of the day, It's better to have good punches than good kicks.

I think it's relative on the person and their physical attributes on what discipline will work the best for them.

I like Cody Garbrandt's boxing centric style, I'm curious to see how far he goes with it. I think he'll do well, he's quick with fast hands, KO power, and he's tall and lengthy for the division.

He was all over Almieda like stink on shit, but what was most impressive was his accuracy.

Maybe it is just me, but if I was a pro boxer and was asked by an MMA fighter to come in and spar and work on their boxing, I wouldn't then proceed to go on social media and talk shit about them. A bit of a low dog act if you ask me.

Where is the vid? Why post without the vid?

who.gif

It's just a sparring session. Dude sounds like an idiot. What, is Conor supposed to upload a video showing highlights of him getting tagged? He seems like an asshole.

If you were a pro boxer and was asked by an MMA fighter to come spar and work on their boxing and then they proceed to make a video with editing to make the MMA fighter look good you would be all okay with that?

Btw.. The boxer had just come back from a vacation and had not been in the gym for a month.
What is it with Conor and people coming straight from the beach?

I'm sure there are certain posters here that think he could give Floyd a competitive fight lol
I was argueing with retards about this before Diaz chin checked him. his fans where claiming he would put up a better fight than Hatton

From what I understand Chris talked smack about Conor's boxing on social media pretty much straight after they put in rounds together...before this video. Maybe I missed something and Conor spoke first, but I remember seeing a thread about Chris tweeting negative stuff immediately afterwards bout Conor's boxing which is not cool in my eyes.

Aussie?

Compared to this video below, the 'Mac Life' video does seem to edit in Conor's favour. But it's a video about Conor so what do you expect.
