I live in an area with lots of tourists and the Chinese are the only ones who are consistently rude as fuck. All the Thais I've talked to about this feel the same way. It's a running joke. However, it seems like Chinese people don't realize they are being rude. It's just normal to them.

I've gone to different areas in Thailand it's the same wherever the Chinese go hah.

Having said that, when it comes to nightlife it's almost always the westerner tourists that are fucking retards.

What is funny is that because of the whole THAAD issue, China isn't sending Chinese tourists to Korea and Koreans are like, "This is the perfect time to go to Jeju because it won't be flooded with Chinese tourists!"

But yes, OP, you aren't alone in this assumption. Chinese tourists are notorious all over the world. They're bad in Korea where I live. When I was on a boat tour in Vietnam, the Europeans would find a corner somewhere on the deck to smoke away from the rest of passengers. The Chinese guys would stand right in the middle of the only staircase and smoke, blocking people from using the staircase and blowing smoke right into the face of others.

Have traveled all over SE Asia and the Chinese are hands down the worst fucking people I have dealt with.

Loud, rude beyond belief, couldnt give a fuck about local customs, even if its a tour they will literally have screaming conversations with them self even though the guide is trying to explain something.

FUCK them, if I ever travel again I hope I never run into a big pack of them I dont have the patients for there stupidity anymore.

Yup, the tour guide actually had to have another your guide hush some Chinese tourists when he was speaking...like full on loud ass conversations while the tour guide was going over Thai customs and safety and precautions
 
They are even worse than traveling Israelis who've just finished military service, and that's bad.

This is the correct answer. Get educated people from the city and they're going to be roughly the same as anyone use. Get a tour group of hicks who came into money because some developer bought they block of land for some astronomical price and god help you. The ones in the city can't stand them either.

I used to work with a Chinese guy in my old work, he was from China and had only been here for 4 months, and he was an absolute prick, he was so racist and rude too. I didn't like him at all.

He was quite pale, and anyone with a bit of color was like some monster to him. He was weird. Very racist too. And he didn't like being in the sun, he was scared he will get a tan.

Also he was not rich, he was just of very moderate family. I can't say I have really come across much Chinese tourists as I don't really travel much sadly, but the Chinese guy I worked with in the past was very unlikable and had no manners.

I don't particularly find them rude, per se, but they fucking annoy me as they have absolutely zero common sense or sense of awareness. They literally have a hive mindset, if one crosses the road they all follow without checking for traffic or anything, just swarm around following each other like sheep.

The reason they take so many pictures, by the way (I lived there for a year or so), and don't seem to actually pay attention to/enjoy the thing they are snapping is....

Status and materialism. They want to take photos home to show their peers and show how wealthy and cosmopolitan they must be to be able to travel overseas on vacation. You can't impress people with memories. A memory isn't a material 'thing' that you can own and use to impress others, whereas a photo is. So they have little need to enjoy being in the place - they just want proof that they were there, to show off. Everything they do is a subtle brag.
 


I had a 12 hr layover in Turkey a few years back, and one of the major things I remember from being there was the herds of Chinese tourists. Literal herds.

That aside, I ate food with a Taiwanese tour guide who was great company. Would like to visit Taiwan sometime.
