Chinese Goverment calls MMA fighter a traitor and bans him from social media for exposing...

Tai chi or qi gong can be excellent additions to actual martial arts

They teach energetic / qi control, balance, breathing and other things. It's a lot more akin to yoga or an intense meditation practice than a tangibly effective combat martial art.
Well that's another thing too, I did Tai chi as a kid and I was never even aware that it's supposed to be a martial art, it was basically yoga with movement, so I don't get why these tai chi guys are even fighting anyone to begin with

I disagree, they need to learn and accept the limitations of their style - especially if they are teaching it as a self defense system. People should be learning self defense systems and styles that actually work. This is what happens when they chose to not compete vs the other styles out of pride for their national styles. The rest of the martial arts world evolved through actual combat and cross training other martial arts.
To be fair if people enjoy that stuff then I don't even really have a problem with it not working. People spend money on all kinds of shit that's bad for you, like alcohol and smoking, I think doing fake martial arts is actually better than those two things. To be clear I'm not saying there should be no standards, but on the other hand I think it's not as bad as people make it, the onus should be on people not attacking others, not everyone else having to learn effective martial arts lol I'm half playing devil's advocate here, personally I'd always recommend people learn real MMA, but I think it's dumb to hate on the other stuff too much as well

He'll make a good addition to the Bodies exhibit, since they're all chinese prisoners that "donated" their bodies to science...

Fun fact. This why unless a skeleton in university labs comes from the western world, they are fake (after a certain year i csnt recall at the moment). It was specifically to cut out the chinese harvesting market.

It's always funny watching these people get a dose of reality, but your experience with it is also my understanding of what Tai chi is for.

That doesn't change the fact china is world renowned for making junk. Except viruses, they're good at making and spreading those.
Most countries go through this phase. America was the same in the past. We also polluted a lot more back then too. China is going through its own version of the industrial revolution and its nearly finished. They are already planning to switch to green tech and also move some manufacturing to Africa. Its kinda pathetic that you haven't learned anything about history especially since China itself has grown exponentially in the past two decades. Your perception of what China is lags behind reality and before you know it USA will be looking in the rear view mirror because it got complacent like you

Doesn't change that they make junk. Sorry. You may continue with your meltdown over criticism of china, yet again.

So your defending their use of child sweatshops and genocide?

The thing that makes it bad is because it is advertised as an effective self defense martial art. I have no problem people doing things for their health and do tai chi/yoga for fitness (as long as they are not doing it thinking it is a self defense art). If they actually try to use it for self defense they will put themselves in more danger because they are not using an effective style and they will not be ready for real combat situations - that is very dangerous.

Chinese traditional arts refused to compete, cross train, and evolve with the rest of the martial arts when mma forced an evolution in martial arts and for other martial arts styles to adjust. They are now too far behind because of it. Their styles are still geared for the way the fighting was hundreds/thousands of years ago, instead of how it is now after all the years of actual combat evolution from mma/full contact competition. Plus refusing to cross train in other styles made their styles very limited and they have a knowledge disadvantage in terms of overall martial arts knowledge. They will not know how to train, or defend against styles and attacks they are not familiar with.

It's like being a hunter and only being around one certain type of animal to hunt, mix in other stronger predatory animals and they will not know what to do - they will not know what the strengths are, they will not know anything about their speed and strength, etc - and the predatory animal will either escape or kill them if they try to hunt it, because of the knowledge and experience disadvantage. That's how it is with their current situation, they are only around other martial arts similar to theirs and they refuse to cross train other arts that isn't traditional Chinese martial arts or focus on martial arts evolution.

There are exceptions like this guy trying to change the way they think about martial arts by showing what is effective and what isn't, and he's getting blacklisted, it shows you their culture and their pride with the inability to acknowledge the truth about their national traditional styles compared to modern/evolved styles from around the world.

Even the UFC champion Weili had to cross train with other martial arts to become high level, but in her videos they show traditional Chinese arts for propaganda for their national martial arts, even if those aren't the styles she's actually using or actively training in for her fights.

Why? They are selling a fantasy. Much more accessible to the masses that way.
Because martial arts, if being sold and advertised for self defense/combat shouldn't be fantasy. It can be flashy and still be effective, that isn't the issue. The issue is they think it is effective because that's how they have been programmed with whoever is teaching these styles to them, and their reaction to being hit in an actual full contact fight puts them into shock because they have no understanding of how to deal with anything that's going on in a real fight. That's dangerous for anyone practicing these styles and thinking it is an effective self defense/combat art. It's a false sense of security.

Based retard
How about “useful idiot”
Commie is mad that someone called China Communist. Cant make this shit up. LMAO. These Commie lovers will always say that there is no true communist country. They would never dare to live in any Communist country.
