To be fair, your own president is setting you up to fail. Starting trade wars with allies, threatening to annex land. Even if you bring back some manufacturing, don’t expect the countless people that you pissed off along the way to buy american products which are going to be more expensive in the first place.

I can’t stand the Chinese regime, but I hink they will definitely benefit from the US alienating the entire world.

Pointing out that bad policy will lead to certainly bad outcomes while the bad outcomes are unfolding in front of us isn't rooting for failure.
