International China has been secretly developing thorium nuclear reactor

<TrumpWrong1>
The obstacle to building in the USA is an overabundance of regulations. It's because everyone closer to the government is getting their palms greased. That's why even when citizens are willing to freely donate/build public restrooms for San Francisco, it would still cost taxpayers a million dollars just to install a single toilet.

Indeed, sometimes regulations, while the nuisant expenses they force, come with the advantage of protecting us, or ensuring superior quality of life, sometimes that isn't the case. They become so cost inefficient that they become prohibitive to achieving a superior quality fo life. That's the case with San Francisco and human waste management.

Although I don't envy China's fast track approach when it comes to building nuclear reactors. Nope nope nope. I'll welcome ample government oversight, there.

It's too bad we can't have direct voting on specific regulations because as a Democrat I know that when Republicans say they want to get rid of regulations, what they mean is they want to f*** workers over and dump poison into the air and rivers while also getting rid of regulations that should be gotten rid of.

As a short term resident in the Hubei province during the three gorges power plant construction, I can say whatever malfeasance you envision here was 10 times worse there. Workers on 24 hr shifts at times, 2000 native villages with millions of people evacuated and displaced due to water levels. China doesn’t give two fucks about regs or fallout. And yet we’re still energy dependent on them because Dems killed Keystone.

Your argument in principle is (we shouldn't care about regulations here because it's worse there).

That kind of argument on its face is a ridiculous one and you should never offer it up.

Never said that, strawman. Just a perspective from someone with worldly experience.
Not a dweeb posting from the common room of his local JC.
lol at ‘argument’. WR weirdo.

They had a test reactor running since like 2021 or something. A couple other countries have test reactors too.
Finally getting a little closer to Occupied, it’s a shame it wasn’t Norway developing it.
Denmark has one with a quick Google.

So you are for more regulations in those cases in the states then?

China kind of has to do this to achieve energy independence. Next step will be food and I'm sure they are working hard on that. The great thing is we can see how it works out for China over the next few decades and decide if we want to do it as well.
Their food plan seems to consist of stealing their neighbors land. I’m not aware of any special lab grown foods or fertilizers, just trying to move into places like the South China Sea and gobbling everything up and moving to the next place.

It would be a tragedy if it works out for them, these places would become desolate in terms of wildlife like in China.

They have been building 20-story robotic vertical farms:

As for thorium reactors, this is no "secret" .

wait ... they secretly announced it?
No they been secretly developing it now they announced they are building two reactor. People thought everyone gave up on them or devoted little resources this maybe a wakeup call.

Oh Christ, not this shiit again.

The plans for that Thorium reactor are kept in that same safe in China where they have the cure for cancer, HIV, quantum computers, hyper mega super duper missiles and Trump’s healthcare plan.

^is what Winnie the Pooh gets off on. He rubs those plans on his ass and laughs in glee with a semi chub.

Woke is getting blamed for everything these days. I agree with "Wokeism" but when it interferes with scientific advancements... and when it blocks childhood joys.

I miss animals in circuses and and Bull fighting animal cruelty is a factor but the answer should never be to just get rid of it.

Meanwhile we're importing tens of millions of uneducated migrants who will suck all that welfare money that could be used to make shit like this. Migrants who will have 20 kids who will all also suck on that welfare money

Geez I hope you don't live in the UK, that's an arrestable offence right there!

I don't trust them. Will probably lead to catastrophe and cover up.

That is Chinas advantage they can just decide to make something and do it. In the west it takes a lot of steps and there is pushback from sides.

The bad part is that the same applies to everyone of Xi's stupid ass decisions, they just do it without any pushback.

So secret in developing here is a link from last year. I will conceed this is two full reactors but it was clear they were still working on the tech.

His point was migrants send their money back to their home country. Money doesn't circulate like you mentioned.

Money is a piece of paper that represents value, given in the form of a transactio, if money was going out to not return, then it would mean the migrant just exchanged labor for nothing and becomes a net benefit (produces and doesn't consumes) as an slave would be.

The reality is that the money that is "sent abroad" isn't really sent abroad its actually exchanged for local money and the guy that does the exchanging accepts the money because it wants to buy stuff from the country.

For example

"Juancho" is working in America, he send $1000 dollars to his family in Mexico, so he goes to a money wiring company that takes the $1000 dollars for him, the wiring company then contacts a Mexican bank to which they have an alliance and tells them to give the pesos to the family of Juancho and deposits the USD on an US account of the Mexican bank.

And while Juancho is working in America, Juancha (not related) went on a shopping trip to the US, she spends $1000 USD in her Mexican CC, the bank proceeds to pay those transactions with USD from their international bank account.

In the end, money never left America, most wiring services don't actually send money abroad, if that's even a thing, sure a few amount of dollars are actually sent abroad and kept as money paper, but the Fed can simply print more of them.
