Through no fault of our own, a nuclear power station disaster happened. Via great sacrifice and bravery of the highest order we managed to contain it and save much of Europe from harm. The world owes us. And via our superior technology and manpower we only lost 4 people! You're welcome.
This stuff preceded Trump. Remember, there are no failed endeavors under communist regimes. Well, except for the ones that go public. Then, they were the heroes going above and beyond to combat the inevitable.
Don't discount the normalcy of being able to criticize leadership that is a luxury in much of the world.

Speaking of following China's example: before the virus outbreak, there were some social darwinian and fascist types in the West lauding China's 1 party rule because it gives results, like rapid construction of buildings, infrastrure, factories etc.. while the West is burdeoned by enviromental legislation, unions and diversity hires.

They're going to try to hide the fact the outbreak happened because of their shitty sanitary regulations. The market was deepcleaned by the authorities after the investigation. I don't think they'll blame another country but try and pin the whole thing down to "bad luck".
Trump was absolutely right when he said it was a Chinese virus. It's not politically correct, but it's the truth.
It is a Chinese virus because of Chinese culture, Italian people or Eskimos don't eat bat meat. Why should they pay the price for something they're not responsible for?
It is a Chinese virus because of the CCP's cover-up and false reports which made the threat appear as less severe as it was in reality. Why should American people die because of some dictatorial regime they have nothing to do with? The political situation in China is not their fault and they shouldn't pay for the lack of transparency of that horrible government.
It is a Chinese virus because of Pengolin trade. It's illegal but demand from China is so high that African merchants won't want to stop the traffic even after this crisis. In fact, it is one of the most trafficked mammal in the world.
There are just too many elements to say that someone is racist when they say it's a Chinese virus. It is, unfortunately, absolutely accurate.
Should we encourage the media to repeat this expression? Maybe yes, maybe no. On the one hand we want journalists to be accurate but at the same time we don't want people to go around beating up Chinese-Americans. China should acknowledge the fact that calling the virus "Covid-19" is a huge favor the world does and ought to stop playing heroes for providing assistance to countries that have been unfairly harmed by Chinese mistakes to begin with. It's just the least you can do.

I think this was an attack and an act of war..
I believe Trump knows this was an attack which is why he keeps emphasizing that this is the China virus that came from China.. Alex Jones says the same...
I said awhile back that war with China is coming...
And I don't believe that because China has nukes and is teamed up with Russia will stop us from pushing their shit in and I don't believe that a war will be the end of the world even if nukes are launched...
I don't believe China or Russia combined stand much of a chance if America takes it's gloves off...
If China and Russia fired their nukes, I don't believe any of them would reach mainland USA...
I think USA can obliterate both countries over a weekend if that's what we set out to do...
We got lasers and a Space Force..
It would make Shock and Awe look like a low budget 4th of July fireworks show if we went for the kill.. No occupying.. No rebuilding... Just hit them with the particle beams from space.. We could do it without losing a single man...

You’re watching too many movies, my man. In truth, no one knows the exact efficiency of even the most state of the art antimissile shields. It’s borderline childlike to believe that none of China’s and especially Russia’s nuclear weapons would strike the US, in a full fledged nuclear shootout.

Censorship of research in China leaks here as well. Most of our journals circulate in China, so the editors follow Chinese laws. Not to mention many of the reviewers will be Chinese, or people obtaining funding from China.

This is most likely the correct reading. It's less 'cover up the lab thing!!1!' and more 'let's not get too transparent as it precludes the possibility to shift blame to outsiders'
