Yeah for this particular issue , i.e. censoring the bat coronavirus outbreak , it looks more like they not wanting to provide evidence that the virus originated in bats in China. Problem for them is that their foremost scientist studying bat coronavirus , a woman lovingly called "batwoman" , has already published papers saying the SARS-COV-2 virus (Wuhan Virus) is very similar to a coronavirus found in bars in Yunnan province, bats her lab in Wuhan studied.

Before China started this blame America for the virus schtick, their Academic institutions and whistle blowing doctors already let the bat cat out of the bag, acknowledging the virus originated in China.

And now breaking news is reporting that last year China used their dams on the Upper Mekong River to deprive downstream countries of water, which contributed to severe drought in these countries last year. The most serious drought in 50 years.

I think this was an attack and an act of war..

Almost 0 cases in China for covid-19. Do a google search, and you can't click on China in the dropdown menu for whatever reason, but you can find out that they almost eradicated the virus, despite not restricting international travel. How on earth did they do it and why can't we do the same?

Harsh but short lockdowns, its a vastly more effective and less expensive strategy.

It's higher over here in the UK and would be higher still if we'd just kept trucking at the 1000 a day covid deaths we had at our peak.

Strict mask and cleanliness laws. Strict border control and quarantine for new arrivals.

Crazy tracking and tracing. They have a sophisticated health code system, and a clean bill of health QR code is required to enter many businesses. Advantages of being a surveillance state.

Testing. Once they track down a positive case they can do things like test millions of people in the area over a period of days.

When all else fails they can just start closing stuff. From shutting down the subway to draconian stay at home orders, they won't hear much noise about it from their citizens.


Other countries in Asia have had great success without quite such strict stuff, but still similar in that they used harsh lockdowns as an early control measure and now very aggressive tracking, tracking and testing. Vietnam population 95m has less cases than Wisconsin.
