Media Chimaev posts a short message to respond to DDP and coach

With DDP and his coach coming out recently to discredit Chimaev's title win, saying that he only cared about winning the belt and not to test a "real fight" with the South African.
That in a rematch with another referee and making a one single adjustment, Chimaev is gonna "get fucked up". As he’s got zero chance with Dricus in the stand up according to
the coach/fighter duo...

Chimaev has now decided to reply to their talking with a brief and concise message:



A reminder of how Khamzat found the dominant positions through out their fight, with DDP focusing on tucking in his neck. Does he have a point, should team DDP bear their
deficiencies and not look outwards for reasons why he lost?

That was one of the most boring title fights in a very long time & Khamzat certainly lived up to the name "Borzzz" in that fight however Dricus actually won this fight under PRIDE rules

Actually made the attempt to finish the fight in the 5th with the RNC while Khamzat just held him for whole fight

Under PRIDE rules Dricus would be deemed the winner just for attempting to finish the fight while Khamzat would have been issued yellow cards and possibly DQ due to just stalling & holding Dricus on ground and not trying to finish the fight

Only "offense" that Khamzat did was just holding Dricus on the ground and some "brutal" knees to the thigh of Dricus

Under the pussified UFC rules though, Khamzat won though

I don’t agree with the Pride Rules thing and I think they would have given Khamzat the W even if he was doing nothing but securing position.

That said, they’ve already shown this before. Most of them have been calling Merab boring for the last two years, so…

Kamzat, just go out and fight... Nothing would shut anybody more up than you just fighting 2-3x a year.

And honestly, based on your weak schedule, you should fight at least 6x in 2026+2027 to make up for it.

If memory serves when Khabib fought Conor he let his hands go. True Conor could only defend certain ways given the threat of takedown and grapplefuck...but at least Khabib showed off his hands some. And I think it was intentional. I think Khabib could have just wet blanketed Conor the entire fight.

I submit that even Dagestan wrestler style fighters who have figured out a great path to victory...know they have to put on more of a show.

It will affect sales at the box office/pay per views if they don't...cuz striking was part of MMA and people still like to see it. If not there MUST be a submission. Lacking that...well more people watch tennis than wrestling.

So to have a bigger chance of getting your wanted outcome, this fight should only happen 20 years ago, in an other organisation while the fighters would not adjust to those other rules?

Also under Pride rules a title fight normally would be a total of 20 minutes. So the attempted finish you are talking about in the 5th round would mean that Dricus would try to choke Khamzat after the fight itself and by doing that Dricus would get the belt.
