What I'd like to know is how Chic Fil A rates with Popeyes Chicken.

They're different. Chick Fil A is more sandwiches and nuggets where Popeyes is more fried chicken and tenders.

Overall, though, Popeyes is much better. They have more variety in their menu with fantastic side options like red beans and rice and mashed potatoes and gravy. Their chicken seasoning is better, and their French fries are better seasoned as well.

Honestly that whole controversy was the first time I heard of them and I started eating there shortly afterwards. Not because of their politics but because a friend of mine recommended it to me because of their special sauce which is amazing.

I think it proves people on both sides don't care what a fast food chain says or really anything beyond how good their food is. I mean, we have Sanders KFC ads again and it hasn't really changed their sales. Also, Starbucks seems to do politically minded campaigns from time to time. No one really cares. If I want food, I will get it from the place I like most and if the place wants to make the most profit out of their brand, they will be as inclusive as possible.

Most people continue not to give a shit about all of this. After the bitching subsides, Chick-Fil-A continues to enjoy sales at the rate they did before all the bitching. The vast majority of people who didn't care about all the bitching continue to not care and carry on as usual. SSM legalized. TS sees this as a victory over the "far-left". Good stuff.

I support marriage equality (as well as the right to publicly disagree for any reason) and, really, not the biggest fan of their food.

But I will often stop at Chik-fil-a when in unknown surroundings or a road trip. Why? Because I have never been in a Chik-fil-a that did not surprise me every time with the level of cleanliness in the facility. Every one I've ever been in. That's how you get my dollar. Not with rhetoric.
