The defense is trying to kick a prosecutor off the case, because one of the prosecutor's adult kids attended classes at that college and was in the crowd on the day of the shooting. They're playing it that the prosecutor is a massive Kirk fan, rather than just his kid goes to that college and that was a big event (even before the shooting) with a high turnout so people went to see regardless of fans or haters or more likely just because it was an event on campus so why not go.
