Social Charlie Kirk Shot and Killed

Shouldn’t we start with the text itself? And maybe, if the interpretation has changed materially over the years (it was different for hundreds of years) it’s pretty open to interpretation and impossible to unequivocally say the current interpretation from the (catholic) church is what Jesus actually meant.

I can understand someone being anti-abortion, but they aren't getting that from the bible. The christian God was not anti-abortion.

The bible never mentions abortion directly. The closest it comes in 5:11–31 which could be interrupted as sanctioned abortion as a punishment for adultery.

The most concrete "guidance" in the text is in 21:22–25 = this clearly defines a fetus as being property of value to the parents, not a living being, as the punishment for killing a fetus isn't death but instead a fine.

So what is your basis for what the teachings of Jesus actually are? Your own interpretation as a non religious guy who's never read the Bible or studied the religion?
What’s your basis for believing the current version vs the version that was taught for over 1000 years? which one was really the teachings of Jesus?

Why does evil exist.
Because without it man would have no work to do. The finite can do the infinite cannot, which is why the infinite created and facilitates the finite. Thay is the point of the covenant(s) and why God in the Old Testament is constantly like “if you guys don’t get to work then i’m just gonna get rid of you and take it easy for eternity instead of dealing with your bs” and why Jesus weeps in the New Testament

It’s not obvious at all since he said nothing about it and god didn’t like masturbating to avoid fulfilling a family obligation. Somehow you’ve convinced yourself that means into life begins at conception and any term abortion is murder. When the Catholic Church itself has changed positions on the topic and that’s just the Catholic Church.
God said he knew you in the womb so that kinda overrules whatever the church says. However, since you bring it up, the catholic church teaches life begins at conception.

It's a simple question. Why does evil exist.
If there is such a god he made a system where evil is needed.

Why did God create evil. Why did he want it. He could have made a system that did not require evil or sadness. Don't explain the rules. Explain why the rules are set this way. You don't have to do it, I'm just pondering.
Imagine I make a maze, an adventure for mice and during parts of it I torture and kill their families until they get to the end and I reward them with cheese. If I said well I give them cheese at the end as reward do I need motivate them by torturing and killing their families so it balances. I'd be a psychopath. I didn't have to set up the game or test "to get tm heavenly cheese"with torture and killing.
Reality if God is really like he is the Bible is maze with unnecessary torture and maiming. If God is really that powerful he could construct a reality without suffering and evil to achieve the same ends as one with
Meaning if the bible is accurate, god is a psychopath.

After teaching something different for over 1000 years.

And in the womb doesn’t mean at conception

Why do you keep avoiding answering a question by asking a question?

You also keep making inferences that arent true. Im not religious. But the argument was about religious belief. You keep asking me why I believe things I dont believe.

Let's try again. What is your basis for what the teachings of Jesus are, as a non religious guy that hasn't read the Bible and doesnt think the church or religious practitioners are a good indication. Is it just "well, everything's open for interpretation, and no interpretation is any better than another"?

He's just trolling you guys, more interested in poking holes than actually arguing his point.

As @Bob Gray already pointed out, most Christians believe abortion is murder. Proof of how Jesus would feel about it irrelevant.

What did they teach in the first millennium? Abortions weren’t even legal in western states until the 70’s so I highly doubt the institutional church was teaching abortions are ok with God.

He asked what Jesus said about abortion and if you take the Christian perspective that Jesus is God, then he said a lot in the Bible that can easily lead to a conclusion that abortion is murder and not permitted. I haven’t heard him make an argument that Jesus/God would allow it other than the child argument “you never said we couldn’t!”

Who ITT said he deserved it?

What if satan is our deity

What if satan is our deity
What if there is no Satan or God and they are just morons being split down the middle by con men hired by the hyper wealthy.
I see the correlation between a giant fuck up by the gop and how the GOP posters come back to the same threads rather address the gop current fuck up.
The cia just blew shit out of decoys and fisherman and the russians are mocking us Billions were spent. But .
Let's argue about charlie kirk and Somalis all day.

YOU are arguing the current interpretation from the Catholic Church represents the teachings of Jesus from 2000 years ago. Not the teachings from the Catholic Church for over 1000 years. You are doing that.

Of course there were... <YeahOKJen>

What I don't see (aside from the post itself) though is how "not going to feel sorry if true" equates to "he deserved it", because it doesn't. Keep reaching though; you may come up with the right excuse eventually.

Praise sweet, fat, baby jesus christ, why cant you answer the question? I'll just keep reposting the question until you have an answer.
