It's scary how fast this generation got completely brainwashed. In 2016 during the election season I was actually going to a community college, working on trying to get my degree. I was around 34 or 35 at the time, and it was interesting to suddenly be in social situations and debates etc with a bunch of teens and 20 somethings. It's why talking about politics to people is generally a bad idea. People get way too invested and become emotionally clouded in using any type of logic. If they're even interested in the truth to begin with. It's not going to be an indictment on them personally even if it is somebody on their "team".
It stood out to me at the time that I had to be extremely careful engaging with the left leaning students, even though I was still pretty heavily left leaning myself at the time.
I found you could agree with them on most issues, but if you disagreed ANYWHERE on an issue they found important they would just ... lose their goddamn minds. It got to the point where I memorized what sore subjects were for certain students, because they would throw an absolute tantrum in the middle of class if they were challenged on a core belief.
I remember thinking damn maybe there is something to this idea that the younger generation is getting heavily indoctrinated during their school years. It was wild talking to 19/20 year olds that would have emotional meltdowns if you just challenged their opinions politely with logical debate. I feel like when I was growing up people knew how to have a level of separation about this stuff, and that you can't get so emotional about your beliefs because you will always encounter people that don't agree that you need to learn to coexist with.
TLDR: This zoomer generation is really fucked up.
