Media Chael's thoughts on fighter's pay

Hard core fans might like the story that the UFC is bad and fighters deserve better pay but at the end of the day that doesn't sell PPV's.

I mean unless you're outside the UFC and already have a following like Jake Paul.

UFC cards out sell boxing cards and boxers still get almost 5 times or even more than UFC fighters. Look at Canelo, his cards make less than Conor and he still gets about 3 times as much as Conor. Not counting Conors fight against Mayweather. So if we are going by PPV's, the UFC blows boxing out the water in terms of selling PPVs yet pay their fighters shit compared to boxing. You should try another excuse cause this shit aint working right now.

The thing is guys who draw viewers do make the big money.

They still dont, not compared to boxing. Look at a guy like Conor who does double the PPV that Canelo does and Canelo still does 3 times as much as Conor.

I'm not making excuses.

What I'm saying is Complaining about fighters pay isn't really all that compelling to sell ppv's. It works for Jake Paul because he's outside of the UFC. If little known Boxers said it to promote fights it would benefit them and might propel them to becoming a house hold name potentially.

I understand that Canelo makes more than Conor per match and I'm not surprised that Conor sells more ppv's per match. It's a different business model.

Chael teaches how to sell PPV's and someone is going to study him put in the work and become very rich.

Chael was a lapdog

pretended he was paid millions and sponsored by big brands when he was on 80/80

even dana sometimes stood there shocked thinking we pay this bitch nothing why is he acting like we are paying millions

Say what? No one needs to study Chael. Pretty obvious the reason why his cards with Silva sold is because he was a loud mouth, he was also a fighter that stylistically could give Silva problems. Everyone knew that Chael though is not champion material, he is just a top five fighter and thats why his only big fights were against Silva. His big mouth didnt help him make millions beside that Silva fight where he made a ton. Someone should have taught Chael how to be a better fighter, that way he truly would have made the money you are making it out to seem like he did. Only big fight his mouth helped him make money was in the Silva fight. Not sure about the Jones fight but I dont think he made that much. Then it was all downhill. Not even his mouth could help his skills.

Thinking maybe Michael Chiesa can teach him how to be a better fighter.

If anything they're overpaid, no one should makes hundreds of thousands or millions for fighting in a cage. Or any sport for that matter.
Let me guess, you think stay at home moms should make millions a year, since their job is the most important?

I can’t listen to cheal. Something about the way he talk and his mannerisms. He just comes off smug, for lack of a better term.
I know exactly what you're talking about.... smug not the word( like u said) but he comes across non authentic because hes trying too hard to be genuine and it comes across "that way".

He reads like a bush league politician who aspired for more but didn't have the skills for it and also like a dude convicted of fraud?

Tato potato and you know it. Bellator is owned by Viacom right now
You don't see me asking WME to pay more. And I Don't recall seeing WME being named defendant in the lawsuit, do you?
Exactly the point. The investment is flopping. Anytime somebody tries to be more generous than the ufc they always end up with investors who look a loss. Bellalor is bleeding money. The ratings are pretty trash.
They finally turned a profit in recently, so we'll see where they go and if they can maintain it.
this business is not profitable whatsoever and it’s absolutely nothing but charity with big losses on the investment for every day that bellator doesn’t announce they are liquidating all their assets to zuffa and joining the graveyard alongside pride, strikeforce, etc.
I don't think anyone is saying UFC needs to pay out 50 percent over night. But if boxing can sustain 60-70 percent fighter wage share, then the UFC can also, it would just mean not paying out 50 million in executive bonuses annually and not shooting for 50 percent margins. There's also obviously a lot of middle ground between 15 percent of revenue for fighter pay and 50.
The person itself matters too. CM punk rightfully was paid more than every better fighter he made more than, Just like a paul brother.
You don't see me complaining about that. And I'm not saying fighters should be paid more for moral reasons really, it's just pure capitalism. They generate the lion's share of revenue, they should be compensated accordingly, and I'd like to see more competition in the market so we get a better product.

Are you retarded? You are aware you are white knighting the UFC right? I love it when people are caught red handed being hypocrites. Talks shit about white knights and then comes in to try to fend off angry sherdoggers from his beloved UFC and Dana. LMAO.

Triggered millenial upset over another man’s paycheck. Get a job, fool.

How is saying someone like Francis should ask for10K instead of a few millions facts? Thats the most straight up retarded bullshit I've ever heard. Cant understand and bozo that takes Chael's side, you delusional nuts as bad the delusional Trump fanatics. And yeah Trump still lost.

Baaahahahaha! Nosy, liberal shithead exposes himself! Always getting up in someone else’s business.

It's not based on your subjective values in life, but on how much and how many people pay to consume said content.

Chanel often rants about complaining about pay but not offering a solution. I got one..

Jake paul has to KO t-wood and then declare his next fight is mma and he expects the same pay as if his next fight were boxing. He also expects his next opponent to also be paid the same as if it were boxing.

If a promotion gives them this ask and that promotion doesn’t go down in flames n they keep doin shows and the shows keep doin well, then people are gonna want out of their ufc contracts to go fight where the pauls fight. Ufc will have to start matching these kinds payouts once their “it’s different sport” argument goes out the window

If this isn’t enough tom cruise could accept Justin Bieber’s fight offer. The difference maker is celebrity boxing is a pre existing entity and celebrity mma doesn’t even exist at all. The moment somebody creates celebrity mma then the game could change overnight
