Media Chael Sonnens poll shows fans want Aspinall - Gane rematch more than Aspinall-jones

Aspinall and Gane appear to be on the same level. No one wants to see what would either be a squash match or a severely diminished, shop worn Jones. There’s no point.

No because Jones didn’t lose to Reyes. It was a unanimous decision. Jones also fought an undefeated Reyes, which is different than when Blachowics fought him. You could argue Jan got Jones’ leftovers. Tom is actually getting Jones left overs in this case.

jones didnt do any long term damage to reyes and he only got the decision becaue hes jones

According to what exactly? After the Jones fight, Reyes went on an unprecedented losing streak. And he hasn’t looked the same since.
Jones got the decision because Reyes ran from him in the championship rounds.

So what, he’s going to get down on his knees and beg Aspinall for his approval and forgiveness? A fighter should never give their opponent that much power over them, from a psychological standpoint. It’s “fuck you,” until the rivalry is over. This one isn’t over.

There’s nothing that Jan does better than Jones. Jan got abolished by an old Glover Texeira that almost ten years earlier in his prime got outclassed by Jones. There’s no comparison here.

Glover isn’t even the only one. They have three common opponents. Jones beat all of them. Jan only beat one.

He's not getting a rematch if his opponent doesn't trust him to never repeat it.

Im not saying he is better than Jones, im just using your own logic against you. You can't say Jones is better than Aspinall based on this performance since every fight is unique.

I can actually. Tom has to at least win a split decision against Gane, for him to be on the level of someone who eliminated Gane in a single round. He can’t lose; that would be indicative of a class difference.
