I remember a few years ago when Nick was fighting GSP Cesar was one of the most hated trainers in the game. He had been on record saying that Greg Jackson wasn't a "Real" coach and people lost their minds. Seriously though, I think the Cesar hate has always been unwarranted. He's built fighters from the ground up. The fighters that associated with him have NEVER had another coach. They've been raised under his tutelage for their whole careers. He has taught really good fundamentals and they've blossomed and gone on to do great things. Nick, Nate, Gil, and Shields have been kicking ass and taking names for a very long time. I really can't think of too many other coaches that have been with their fighters from day one. It seems that most fighters get noticed under one trainer and than move to a bigger camp to become the finished product. Not that there's anything wrong with that I just find it interesting.
I also love hearing Cesar talk. He always says something interesting. I hope we get a couple of interviews with him in this whole Diaz-McGregor aftermath.
