He's been in Abu Dhabi for a few years now.

It was funny, a grappling website has an article wondering why there were so many Columbians in a bjj tournament in Abu Dhabi a few years ago.

The reality was that once the war against the FARC was over, there were a lot of very experienced soldiers now out of a job. So, many became mercenaries for contractors like Academi.

Part of the training in Abu Dhabi for these employees involve BJJ (it is Abu Dhabi after all).

So, there were quite a few that entered the novice divisions.

He says to put back on the Colonialist hat, as if the US ever just decided to take it off. The US didn't occupy Iraq or Afghanistan, and half-assed it in Somalia. What makes you think America has the ability to colonize Africa with its 1+ billion people, numerous races and ethnic groups and tribal conflicts.

The US would absolutely control Iraq and Afghanistan today if they took on the role as a conquerer rather than a “liberator” and “nation builder”.

US created all the bad blood of a conquering invader. Which we are, but never planted their flag to the benefit of our nation, empire, and alliances.

I’m not saying they should invade anywhere in Africa..but they are a pretty cheap date over there. Show up there with tractors and a crew then you can build immense power on the continent.

Show up there with “democracy” and money for existing and China will own the continent in time.

They will have to figure out a way to gain some control in Africa to make sure China and Russia won’t be able to use its massive population and the West’s desire not to have many of them trying to migrate to the west as a weapon. It’s causing enough problems as it is.
