International Centenary: Chinese Communist Party (1921-2021)

Have you used cash only Chinese contractors or services? They're at 15 to 20% cheaper than competitors in general. I recently got the walls of my townhouse painted light pink (don't ask, finacee forced me). Most contractors quoted me for $5000, and the Chinese dude offered $3500. Guess which one I'm gonna go with as a consumer?

The whole "buy American (or whatever nationality you are)" appeal to patriotism ultimately pales in comparison with economic forces. If economic nationalism worked, small manufacturing would have returned to US long time ago. China developed great infrastructure, education and supply chain for their manufacturing. If Murica wants to compete, it needs to revitalize its education and infrastructure, not to mention ending the current political chaos.

Yes it seems China is winning the capitalism game by offering cheaper alternatives they will surely dominate Asia soon I think within 2 years and in 4 years will match the USA in global dominance and will surpass it in 7 years the Chinese century is upon us.

I hope get petitioned by my daddy! So I can move to the USA from there I can cross the border to Canada!

...would you let me marry my boyfriend? :(

<45>

(I actually wouldn't categorize opposition as "far right" at all)

We don't choose who we fall in love with and I don't believe that sexuality is chosen so I have no problem with homosexuality or gays marrying. Go ahead and get married, enjoy the honemoon!

China's advance has less to do with Xi directing funding than their economy booming. China is already the world's largest manufacturer and consumer market. Naturally with their newfound wealth, R&D funding will be increased. I'm sure Xi wants to claim credit, but it's really the economy that's pushing that innovative process forward.

I don't think he gives a fuck about credit, Xi's methods are akin to people who make massive donations without any public announcement or press release. It's definitely more symbiotic than anyone's sole doing anyhow, but modern economies don't boom - or even exist - without science and engineering. The global enterprise had long been established when Deng began promoting STEM in earnest at the same time he was opening the country to foreign investment and China became as good at anyone at imitation. The focus (and funding) was predominantly centered around late stage development and the country was not on the forefront of discovery and innovation. It has shifted over the last decade, rapidly.

You're a lot more defeatist now than a couple years ago.

It seems they are now unstopable, governments around the world kowtow to them.

Heck you even have some of your country men here on this board agressively defend them.

Which thread is that?

This One. :p

It isn't just that, but a lot of the people who claim to be "Anti-CCP" only offer takes that amount to nothing more than hyperpartisan shitposts which revolve around domestic political allegiances and a single focus to attack "the other side". Even worse, the vast majority of them are based on ignorance, misinformation and/or outright lies.

Yesh exactly I can see that on this board a lot they go Fuck the "CCP" so they can shit on Obongo and can scream Beijing Biden all day or for the other side they can attack Tromp and the made in China Maga hats.

Yu bet that they will start to change their tone if their political tribe started placating China.

In 2015 our president campaigned on a strong independent forreighn policy platform on top of the strong Anti Drug anti crime strategy.

He promised he will approach the Philippine - China dispute by getting on a jetski to chalenge the PLAN.

His supporters rallied for him but uppon taking office he started to backpedal and accepted loan offers from Chinaeven if there are other countries offering a cheaper alternative he constantly delayed any talks in the ASEN summit concerning the China issue.

He praised China many times and so his supporters who previously attacked the preceding Panot administration for incompetence on the said issue.

You know exactly what I'm saying, people look completely retarded - not to mention clueless and hypocritical - when they throw domestic partisan shades on geopolitical issues. GTFO. There are three US (born) posters on this forum that I trust and always expect to cut through to see the bigger picture on geopolitics and national interests, especially in regards to the CCP: @MicroBrew, @superking and @ElKarlo. I'd loosely consider them to be left, center and right respectively.

GTFO with that utter fucking nonsense. Yup always a pleasure to have a non partisan exchange with those 3 instead of always trying to attack some political points that is unrelated to the issue due to my political side.

Problem with the War room is it has devolved into a "shit on people because internet " type of environment

And it got bad to the point its hard not to get carried away and do it your self.

We cant really choose who we fall in love with and we dont know when we will fallout of love.

yep I have come to accept that fact

Its like the only choice we have is if we will act on it or not or maybe that is not choixe either.

heck there times we will fall inlove with a complete stranger.
Sorry for Out of topic @Deorum

Sorry for Out of topic @Deorum

Off Topic? It's more like the natural course.

<36>
there better be gay pron intermixed in this or I’ll be disappointed
There's zero gay pron, dude! Even when I make 100% serious geopolitics and industrial sector threads, the queer vibe invariably manages to seep through and into them. :( I think this happens when the primary discussion of the OP starts to dry up. I remember the one I did on energy with the US, Russia and Saudis -- we ended up talking about Alexander The Great and Hephaestion (at least I did).

Thanks man. I stayed out of this thread due to it getting into stupid arguments about the CCP not being bad because America can be bad. I’ve seen that movie too many times. Appreciate the mention

the CCP can do no harm bc look at America in the 1800s. Lmao.

hello and good morning, Orgasmo,

aye.

this is kind of the point i've been trying to make to the posters who seem so bullish on taking on China - Americans have already chosen sides; and they've picked China.

*ponders*

all this talk of China being the "enemy" of the United States seems slightly goofy and a little misinformed.

Hail ShinkaPo,

whatever else one might say, China is already "dominating" Asia.

its only a matter of time before China ingests Taiwan. they won't need to fly H-20s (China's new stealth bomber) over TaiPei; it'll be just like Hong Kong - and the rest of Asia will just watch, for certain.

we don't have to wait and see when this part of your prediction happens - its happened already.

*salutes*

hiya ElKarlo,

i've tried to steer clear of whether the CCP (or the United States, for that matter), is "bad".

getting bogged down in the "badness" or "goodness" of either country seems like a route to deflection.

*ponders*

instead of talking about what China represents, i keep getting sidetracked by folks who are overwrought with not-very-believable bleats about the oppression suffered by the Uyghurs.

Yup that America Bad argument should be saved for another thread.

Maybe they are drug addicts or who knows

Double yellows man? Come on don't get your 2005 account banned. We need more nuanced opinions on China. There aren't enough voices on here for that.
