Catfish the TV show

This thread has given me the incentive to troll folk on those hideous desperate & dateless sights.

Thanks TS

Saw bits and pieces of the movie. I got in about 45 minutes after the start, and only paid half attention at most.

But it was weird. Stranger than every Catfish TV episode put together.

Yeah, Nev got catfished by this fat, old chick with ovarian cancer. Something weird about an 8 year old painting who really couldn't or something too.

She lied about the cancer.

my gf was freeing up room on the DVR, and the bitch has the nerve to ask me:

"do you really need to schedule this to be recorded?"

I've been catfished, and when it's done properly, part of you really doesn't want the fantasy to end.

My story was a lot more weird than the one in the movie, and I don't talk about it much, because nobody would ever believe me. The girl that got me was a hell of a lot smarter than the one in the movie and did some unspeakably despicable things.

Your account is old enough for me to believe you, so share time I reckon.

They were straight up assholes to that guy.

Yeah, poor guy.:icon_neut

Yeah, and a couple of severely disabled (adult?) children living with her and her man... That house was surreal. And it was funny how she tried to keep up the facade even after they met.

I want to do an experiment where two ugly-to-normal looking people are texting each other and then they meet but one of them turns out to be a super hot model. I'd ask the normal person "But aren't you upset because you've been lied to? This is not the person you've been talking to."

Guarantee you the normal looking person would not mind.

Im seriously loling every page

Last nights threw me for a loop. I thought the guys secrets were much darker than what they really were. Kind of odd they were into each other but the text after the show said it didn't work out.

Something rubs me the wrong way about both the girls who've had "successful" meets. The first one, which apparently is still going good, seems desperate and controlling. She's pushing for marriage and already looks at theirs as a success story, "it's so sad they don't have what we have." I'm not so sure she has anything. He looks like he still harbors resentment over her having a child and almost getting married, but then maybe he's just really quiet.

The second girl looked like she had issues that were showing up with her weight and skin. She really looks like she would be happiest being a catfish.

Kind of odd too that she wanted to meet him so bad yet she was acting very bizarre. Tells him she loves him, wants to live with him then only goes back to visit him at the urging of Max and Nev. Something was off.

Yeah, his eyeball.

I suspect he has a child that is not being mentioned. She seemed to react worse to the notion he was married than he was arrested for carrying weapons of mass destruction.

If I were him I'd probably live in the lake house his family has instead of the trailer.

I'm going to do this Cliff's style.

  • Was on political forums on MySpace.
  • Met a girl there who lived 350 miles away (NY State).
  • Got to know here very well, developed a relationship.
  • Fell for her.
  • Set up a meet six months after we met online, she was coming to Montreal.
  • Took the week off from work.
  • She never shows and breaks off all contact.
  • I freak out.
  • I manage to contact her by phone.
  • Turns out she was actually her own mother who was using her abandoned profile.
  • Actual person I thought I had been talking to finds out what her mother did.
  • Actual person contacts me to make sure I'm OK.
  • Actual person and I hit it off and end up dating for several months (traveling back and forth) before we decide the distance is too big a deal.
  • I never actually met twisted mother face to face; every time I went to pick up actual person, twisted mother stayed in room.

I'm leaving out a lot of details, things I never even told "actual person" because she probably would have murdered her mother.

The level of work Twisted Mother put into pretending she was her own daughter was insane. I was working in internet security at the time, and when things got serious between us I briefly considered the possibility she wasn't real but dismissed it. The identity was clearly real and there was nothing to suggest she wasn't legit.

You guys see the one with the fat girl and her fake eye? She said she was in a car accident, I believe it was in Michigan.

The dude she cat fished looked and acted just like Nick Diaz. It was creepy.

They didn't tell you that in the 2 days he went all PTSD on her and that's why she bolted.

Then didn't tell you that after two minutes he was ALL wonky eyeball. That's all I could see.

White knuckle crazy pants!!
