I think the shows pretty good, I think the host does a good job facilitating these F'd up scenarios and its pretty entertaining.

Speaking of superficial, I was watching this nerd dating event at a Comic Con on some cable show.

The ones they followed said they're outcasts and don't care about appearance as long as their personality was cool.

Guess what? Girls were fighting for this guy because he had a "cool" Iron Man costume over nerds that had shitty costume.

I freaking facepalmed.

Anyways, I have to check out this show.

I still don't get how that guy got locked up 2 years for bus driver fraud

Bobby Boulders nearly got locked up for 8 years for 10 pharm pills. Apparently shit happens in America.

And if you watched it, he didn't actually do it.

I did. I'm just a bit perplexed that he had to endure 2 years for something like that in which he didn't do. I mean you hear of people being wrongfully imprisoned for rape, murder, and other heinous crimes.

This happened to me before. There was a girl in my WoW guild, had a cute voice in Ventrilo and her pics in the guild forum looked decent. This was when I was playing pretty much full time when I wasn't at my full time job. So I was rocking the Cheetoh beard and dressing up entailed wearing a bath robe instead of just walking around in my boxers. So any ways this girl and I start chatting, we kind of hit it off. I find out she lives like an hour and a half away but we agree to meet half. I cleaned up a little, shaved, cologne and put on some presentable clothing. I goto the restaurant a little bit early to scope it out and I didn't want to be late. This was my first date in a while and being the loser that I was, I didn't want to screw it up. I walk through the front door hang out at the bar for a little bit, get a drink to loosen up. I have to pee so I walk to the bathroom which is near the front door and I walk past some behemoth wearing brown sweat shirt/pants combination with weird stains on them. I finish my business and then hang out front for a little bit, I get a text message from her saying she's here and has a table. I'm like weird I've been here the whole time and I haven't seen anyone who looks like you. She tells me she's wearing a brown sweat shirt. I puke a little bit in my mouth, then run to my car and drive home. Afterwards I quit my guild and file for a server transfer.

TLDR:
1. Meet girl on WoW. She sounds/looks nice.
2. Meet girl at restaurant. Looks nothing like her pictures. I immediately drive home.
3. Quit guild and then transfer off the server.

It's certainly perplexing, you're right. Poor bloke.

I wish you could have recorded this whole sequence of events. Where's Nev & Max when you need em?

I figure that either it's partially fake, or it's set up ahead of time and the investigation part of it is fake, or they just offer these people a bunch of money or something to meet.

Watched a bit of the first episode seems fake

If the show is faked, MTV's been really good at getting the most unattractive people behaving in some pretty realistic ways. I wonder about a few of their shows, but everyone's so damned ugly I can't believe they're actors. Is MTV the largest source of revenue for unfilmmable actors?

I can see producers arriving at the Catfish location in advance in order to mic people up, without divulging what they've discovered to Nev and company.

I'm pretty sure the movie was fake...It would be a surprise if the series was any different.

Yeah at least the people look like the type of people that I imagine would be falling for this. The reactions seemed pretty realistic, that one guy that was expecting the other person to be a hermie had a weird response.

Seems real. The one episode where the guy thought he was talking to a tranny was weird. She turned out to be a regular girl wtf. Who lies about being transgender?
