Carlos Prates relentlessly mogged by Lethwei King Dave Leduc

Leduc isn't a high level guy. He found his niche in Lethwei. It isn't really a competitive sport. Leduc was able to spin it to westerners that don't know much about it. The sport is openweight too. Not trying to bash the sport too much but it has a very small pool of competitors.

I think he was a bit too heavy for Thailand and I don't think he can make the transition to kickboxing. His technique is a bit off. He is very sloppy but he is aggressive.

Nothing really, I didn't know this fight happened until today and thought it was interesting.

Im just messin’

Dave is a seasoned bare-knuckle dude and I did not know these guys fought either. Thanks for sharing

Prates has been looking good lately inside the cage that for sure

Why did he call out buakaw that one time and gut publicly wrecked for it. He is like 6 inches taller. Is he so cheap or is there noone at his weight to fight with a name ? Yeah seems thread exposed him as weight bully

He is kind of weird. He is a Canadian guy with a kung fu background. I believe he had some MMA fights before he started kickboxing. I think he moved to Phuket and was a regional MT fighter there. Like I said before, he found his niche in Lethwei. He never made the transition to international kickboxing. His best win is probably over Cyrus Washington who is a MT journeyman. I am not sure if Too Too or Tun Tun Min are professional athletes or local tough guys.

I think he does good work with charity but he sort of made himself to be some bareknuckle GOAT in Lethwei. He has around 10 fights in Lethwei. He did his bulk of his training at Tiger MT in Thailand. I am not sure if he even trained extensively in Burma. Dude lives in Cambodia or something. He was doing this whole Burma>Thailand thing and even the Lethwei association told him to stop.

10 fights where he is 6'3 vs 5'7 south asians ? Yeah very overblown achievements. 10 fights ? Had me thinking it was 50.

He couldn’t get anywhere in Muay Thai, so he moved to Burma to fight men a foot shorter than himself in Lethwei, and now he trashes Muay Thai.

He's a known douche.

I haven't followed anything about him since he had that video on TUF.

Crazy to see he when on to become some superstar in Lethwei in Burma.

He also somehow looks 15 years younger now than he did on TUF, is in way better shape, and married some Moldovian babe.

I figured this dude would just fight MT for a bit longer, and fade away into obscurity as a washed up alcoholic haha.

Yeah, but mma i easier. You cant compare the athletes over there with the lazy mma fighters...

U know I ♥️ u Ares but I gotta agree with Sõze here that Dave is known to be a douche trashing MT legends that would most likely body him despite the height disadvantage.

Also to my knowledge he got disowned by the governing Lethwei body because of instigating tension between Myanmar and Thailand while Myanmar was dealing with a civil war

He has 6 wins and 6 draws. He was in that sport for less than 5 years. I am not saying it isn't a raw sport. It's headbutts and bareknuckle. Groin strikes are ok too. It used to be no win unless by knockout so the fights will be a draw when it goes the distance. Old rules fights also get knockout time outs so pretty much you are allowed to get stopped twice in a fight. I think they got rid of the time outs.
