Career derailment fights

I am sorry, but no. These were great champions that had accomplished much and were supremely confident, and mostly had come back from losses before. They were turning points for them. Now with Costa I agree, but he was very insecure unlike the rest, and a KO/sodomuy probably did ruin his confidence, but that is again because he was insecure to begin with- he was narcissist without REAL confidence.
It's very difficult to get sherdoggers to agree. Getting a sherdogger to admit he's wrong is like getting a liberal to vote for trump
Ain't happening
Agree to disagree, moving on

Yeah I know it doesn't follow the rules completely to the OP. Just wanted to throw it out there because he took a lot of damage that fight.
That's why I pointed out that he won the Bellator belt, mainly it's that he hasn't looked the same since and declines dramatically in each fight.
Rory has received some savage beatings
His 3rd round against Condit was very bad.
2nd fight with lawler was even worse. He had to be carried out by his corner on his win against lima in bellator. Mousasi mauled him as well. Rory has been beaten six ways from sunday

McGregor after Nate choked the fame out of him

He went on to win the rematch, beat eddie, and then box floyd
Hardly a derailment

Took me years to accept his decline. My family used to get together in Hawaii and we would buy a lot of the PPV's and were always excited to watch Penn. We slowly stopped after Penn's decline.
Getting ko'd by some fat guy on the street was about as low as one can get. I wish BJ godspeed in his retirement years

I remember the Gegard fight vividly. Fucking devestating.
That guy certainly didn't duck anyone and almost all the killers in his division. Sucks he never became UFC champ.

Not a smart fight.
Mousasi is a killer even at 205. Rory biting off way more then he can chew
But what a warrior. He's agent should be advising against fights like that tho imo

Difficult to get a Sherdogger to admit it is merely his opinion, although I am one Sherdogger that unlike you can do that..

It isn't agreeing to disagree if you have to say all that- you could have just been a grown up and said we can agree to disagree.

Penn's ceiling was limitless, but he thought he was beyond everyone.
He was, but that gap closed quickly, and he refused to evolve.

That's the saddest point of anyone's career for me to be honest.
