Why? You knew during all the origin movies that death defying scenes weren’t going to equal death. Hell that applies with 99% of action movies unless it’s a side character or the end of the movie.

I don't know man, I felt the same with Solo. Knowing that Chewy and Solo were 100% going to live just takes the edge of some of the scenes. More and more in movies these days, the sidekick or love interest can die, but the train scene where Chewy and Han were close to getting killed left me numb. MAybe it's because the movie wasn't that good?

I'd be up for that but prequels, where you 100% know that whatever death-defying scene they are in, won't result in death, kind of take me out of the moment.

Would be up for her Falcon and HE having a movie on some SWAT team type shit though. A few fringe characters that they can kill off too.

Captain America was a solid origin story, as was the first Thor. Nothing special but enjoyable and they introduced the characters.

Avengers was the first real Shared Universe Comic Book movie and set the standard DC etc tried, and failed miserably, to emulate.

Winter Soldier was the first film to show exactly how bad ass Captain America is. It has great performances and a twist most of us didn't see coming. Along with Civil War and Infinity War, it's one of the few MCU movies to really bring Teh Feels.

Black Panther may not have quite lived up the hype, but it was very far from a trashy movie.

Iron Man 2 and 3 I'll give you, and Thor: Dark World. Age of Ultron was a disappointment too.

yup generally agree with you on this, they were not great but most of the Marvel films fleshed out a good story that joined it as a whole, the only one's I really didnt enjoy were Thor 2 and 3 and Iron man 3 but they were still ok films.

Maybe they could spin it in a way that combines 2 time lines and they MK ultra'd her to forget and she has to piece it together and encounter some of the old enemies/friends?

I prefer Marvel over DC, just because I critique movies doesn't mean I'm anti-marvel/pro-DC. Nice try though. I just know how to spot a shitty movie a mile away. But yeah still stands, half of them sucked. DC does have them beat when it comes to an actual woman lead. Marvel is still way better than DC, we all already know this.

So far in the current Captain Marvel comic run (2 issues), the following happens

-Mahkizmo randomly attacks CM while she's dating War Machine and he spouting over-the-top chauvinist lines the whole time
-CM beats him so Mahkizmo kidnaps a random woman and runs through a portal
-CM goes through the portal after him no problem but none of the male Avengers can get through <45>

-The portal leads to a time-displaced version of NYC that looks like Mad Max-ville
-Mahkizmo is running the place and has his own citadel there
-There is a stronghold of heroes / resistance fighters and they're all women, obviously <45>

-Mahkizmo apparently imprisons all the men at his citadel because he views them as "competition" <45>

-CM teams up with other female heroes: SpiderWoman, Hazmat and Echo along with the ONLY male in this resistance, but he looks like this:

Just because you say a movie is shitty doesn't make it so. By any objective measure, the number of truly shitty MCU movies is extremely small.

This is so true. The Russo brothers have taken Marvel to the next level and basically saved them.

Winter Soldier, Civil War and Infinity War are in their top 5 and all by the Russo brothers.

Marvel do alot of good but god they have some shit in there, to this day I can't finish Captain America, it is the cure for insomnia, i'm telling you.

And imagine if we got an Infinity War by the cuck that made Age of Ultron

Rumor is the Russo brothers didnt want her in any Avengers movies at all. So theyve shot two versions of Endgame. One where shes figured prominently in the story, and another not so much. If it ends up underperforming they'll release the second cut.
