What makes you think it would be? Even if CM is filled with that (which I haven't heard) that's like assuming that all movies after BP were going to have a predominantly black cast.
True. People were making it up in thier heads that this was an SJW movie. When it was just Brie Larson pushing her out ideals during interviews (she is really putting her foot in her mouth, i used to really like her) And people were a bit worried that was going to reflect what this movie was (also Disney recently being Disney and the Last Jedi). But really, MCU just wanted their own Wonder Woman.

Has anyone read the first two issues of the current Captain Marvel run in the comics? It's basically Feminism vs Toxic Masculinity, without an ounce of subtlety.

The villain's name is actually Mahkizmo.

They might as well have called him Emperor Pat Riarchy

Meh. Not counting the Nolan movies, DC has had two smash hits: WW and Gills Drogo. Marvel has consistently made First Downs and TD's for over ten years now. Hell, Infinity War made more in it's first few days than BvS did in it's entire theatrical run.

If DC thinks Marvel fumbling the ball in one movie means they are going to overtake them, then the DCEU is run by even bigger idiots than I thought:rolleyes:
Half of the MCU is garbage films

I laughed at Emperor Pat Riarchy, but Mahkizmo is actually an old school villain from the 70's, bro.

Get in line, bro. Check out my Av and Sig. I've been on the Thanos War Wagon since day one. If anyone's running Boob Interference for the Mad Titan, it's me!:D

Don't think of it as boob interference for Thanos. Think of it as playing receiver for Widow, who's wagon I've been on (or in ) for quite a while. You're in the wrong line, bro. ;)

Lot of tv spots and what not lately and I have to say I’m amped for the movie. I’m really on board with the MCU and this is the first MCU film since July. From these review blurbs on Metacritic (not reading full reviews cause people reveal too much) it sounds like it’s a fun origin story in line with other MCU standalone hero films. I don’t get the impression that it’s a forced agenda piece as some people are suspecting.

Its set in the 90s, and i can only guess that the only scenes that connect it to the present films are either at the end of the movie, or a bunch of mid/post credit scenes.

If true, i'll just wait to read about them in these threads.

Iron man 2&3
Captain America
Thor 1&2
Ant man 2
First two avengers sucked
Black panther overrated as hell
Winter soldier is also very overrated, very Michael Bay-esque

Yeah, about half the films are trash.. Add captain marvel to that list too

Yeah, about half the films are trash. Not all of us can be simpletons like you, bud. Add captain marvel to that list too.

Captain America was a solid origin story, as was the first Thor. Nothing special but enjoyable and they introduced the characters.

Avengers was the first real Shared Universe Comic Book movie and set the standard DC etc tried, and failed miserably, to emulate.

Winter Soldier was the first film to show exactly how bad ass Captain America is. It has great performances and a twist most of us didn't see coming. Along with Civil War and Infinity War, it's one of the few MCU movies to really bring Teh Feels.

Black Panther may not have quite lived up the hype, but it was very far from a trashy movie.

Iron Man 2 and 3 I'll give you, and Thor: Dark World. Age of Ultron was a disappointment too.

Not all of us can be DCEU fan boys like you;)

Endgame is coming out in like 7 weeks. Even if Captain Marvel fails miserably it’s too late for them to change out the ending to feature less of her and more of someone else whooping Thanos’ ass. I’m not buying any rumours of reshoots this late in the game. I’m more hoping they’re not even necessary and that any speculation that she Mary Sue’s Thanos at all were nothing more than rumours to begin with.

Rumor is the Russo brothers didnt want her in any Avengers movies at all. So theyve shot two versions of Endgame. One where shes figured prominently in the story, and another not so much. If it ends up underperforming they'll release the second cut.

Lmao this is hilarious.

Do a gritty, Winter Soldier-type spy thriller. Maybe a prequel, set back when Romanov and the Deadliest Avenger were still running black ops for Shield.

I'd be up for that but prequels, where you 100% know that whatever death-defying scene they are in, won't result in death, kind of take me out of the moment.

Would be up for her Falcon and HE having a movie on some SWAT team type shit though. A few fringe characters that they can kill off too.

Why? You knew during all the origin movies that death defying scenes weren’t going to equal death. Hell that applies with 99% of action movies unless it’s a side character or the end of the movie.

When I was growing up I loved how marvel used a less obvious organic approach to Communicate a narrative.

As the culture/demograph, they’ve rightfully adapted their storytelling.
which makes sense.

That’s too funny though.
In s few years it’ll be all pics and emoticons, with 140 letters as text in 17 pages of illustrations.
