No surprise RT has the virtue signal burning brightly. Metacritic has it at 66 so far

I always like seeing who has the balls the throw such a polarizing movie under the bus. I'm sure the movie will still do well enough financially.

The picture is not dull, exactly, just mundane, marked by unimaginative plotting, cut-rate villains, a bland visual style and a lack of elan in every department. Read full review

By the time I got to the end of Captain Marvel...I heard the voice of my own inner superhero, Peggy Lee, whispering in my ear: Is that all there is? The most heinous supervillain of all is Boredom. Read full review

What’s said to be Marvel’s most powerful superhero ever is served Melatonin by Larson. There is precious little texture or detail, ups and downs, or emotions of any kind in her performance. The character, even when kicking ass, is a total bore. Such as it is, the film’s best moments are provided by Jackson and a hilarious cat. Read full review

My only problem with the marketing is that the movie looks boring and generic. Don't care about what Brie Larson says on Twitter.

And now it looks like the trailer accurately reflects the quality of this movie: boring, safe and generic. I'll just wait for someone to upload to post-credit scenes on YouTube. Maybe I'll sit and watch the full movie whenever it hits Netflix

It's....interesting to say the least. lol

If you want something way, way different, watch it.

Otherwise, Mr. Sunday made it video on it 4 years ago saying how bad it was lol

Did you ever see the 1979 tv movie?

I loved it as a kid

Rotten tomatoes is not virtue signalling. People just refuse to understand how it works.
It is currently 85% fresh meaning most reviews are positive, average review currently 7.13/10.

So it is not a huge disparity from metacritic from the current 67/100. Metacritic also uses weighted scoring.

Unless you filter Top Critics only you are getting Marvel Shill reviews inflating the score

Top Critics - 62% with a 6.3 average

But once you introduce the shills it goes up to a 85% with a 7.13 average

I find it interesting

Sure they're not

funny, they still have a 'want to see' button for users to click on, not for 'don't want to see.'

I don't think any site will be showing a fair rating of this movie now that it has become some sort of a polarized "incels and trolls vs feminism" debacle.

Going to see it on Saturday and judge for myself. Wasn't super excited by trailers and don't have much knowledge of the Dancers incarnation of Captain Marvel, but I'm a big MCU fanboy. Hopefully it's better than Thor 1 or 2.

I've seen numerous pics, but I've never seen the movie itself! It's been on my list forever lol

Might need to put that Spidey show on there too.

Damn, the cat is going to steal the show! That’s her cat’s name in the movie. Goose=MVP
Yep and that worthless bitch was even talking shit about the cat. The only redeemable part of her shitty movie

The only reason I was going to see this movie was for Phil Coulson. The rest is just extra.
