also, am I retarded or was that 'him' shiny guy at the end of uh GotG2 supposed to be implied Adam Warlock?

perhaps he comes back to help Capt Marvel?

Yeah that was his cocoon. He was also called "Him" in the comics.

I think so, but like the previous reference to Adam Warlock we're not holding our breath for any follow-through.

Now that Gunn has been ousted from the franchise, it's unclear how much of his narrative will remain in subsequent installments.

I hope that still have him. Only makes sense to have him as the next villain in the next GOTG movie. I understand bringing in someone new but they shouldn't let that person destroy the world they've built. Give them the outline and let them go from there.

What I didn't know until recently is that there is a team-up in the comics of Doctor Strange, Hulk, Namor and Silver Surfer called "The Defenders". That would be a cool movie down the line.
This is what I was talking about:

Now that's a fucking team-up. They can kill of the Guardians and just have these dudes as the new cosmic team, wrecking shit

The hindrance here is whether Adam Warlock has now been rendered redundant by Ayesha (visually speaking) and Captain Marvel (reportedly she's already taken down Thanos; although that's yet speculation). What would he add?

The visual thing wont be an issue. You would expect his creators to look similar. He would be a great Villian in the next movie. Beyond that they might not do anything with him but always have that option available for the next big villain after Thanos.

Not in Planet Hulk as far as I know. The one I read was a novel where him and (betty? generals daughter) have a baby. He's not as strong as the Hulk but he can apparently run much faster. It was a good book because the Hulk who stole the son traveled to different universes to gather most of the Hulks and take over the world. He was also incredibly Strong himself and the strongest Hulk of them all if I recall.
Hmm, I was thinking of something with a green dude with long black hair and a big sword. Maybe it was an alternate timeline thing.

Skaar hulks son from planet hulk. The novel I read wasn’t the same son I don’t think.

This is the real Defenders yo.

Kidding aside, it would be cool to see the original Defenders (Hulk, Strange, Namor, Surfer) team up for a one-shot movie or just a quasi-team up in another movie.

It could happen eventually. I don't see the MCU slowing down any time soon especially with the X-men coming in now.

They will still use Gunn's screenplay for GOTG3

I just don't see a character introduced so late in the MCU be the one to defeat Thanos.

Who would your ideal picks be for Namor and Surfer?

Defenders had a lot of different lineups over the years...

Hulk is my favorite hero. His movie back in 2008 or whatever is still one of the best IMO. I remember when I first saw it, it's when I knew they could really bring these characters to life now. I wish they would give him another solo movie or do something similar to Thor Raganarok except make Hulk the focus. World War Hulk would have been perfect but they kind of ruined that with Raganarok now.

There's another story line I read but I don't think it would work because it required Banner having a child with someone. Basically Hulk from another universe comes in and steals his son, Dr. Strange has to help him get to the other universe and get his son back who's full grown now by the time he reaches him. Maybe in the next phase they can do something like this.

I actually struggle to see Hulk carry an entire movie. I think Thor R is as close as you can get and still hold the audiences attention. I see him as much better in the supporting ensemble role where he can really shine but you don't have to get to heavily into him. Hulk is made for occasional one liners imo.

I can see Hulk being a great intro character with a rebooted F4. Hulk and Thing battles have endeared the Thing with many in the past as he really shows his heart. I think a few movies where he is a key secondary role would be best. and I say that too as someone who enjoyed all the Hulk solo movies thus far but just don't see them gaining the mass appeal that Marvel wants in a solo flick.

Man if Ant Man can continue to get his solo movies than so should the Hulk. His character is way more interesting. The 2008 movie is still better than a lot of the current Marvel movies. They just need to get him a good villian\story line and your good to go. Maybe have Widow with him as well.

It looks like Professor Hulk (or whatever he's called) will be in Endgame. If that's the case and he can talk like a normal person, they could do a solo movie where General Ross / Red Hulk is the villain

You know what now that you mention that I think someone already told me this a while back. Looks like Universal owns him.
@Dragonlordxxxxx posts the updated Marvel landscape pictograph from time to time. I think his last update had the Fox/MCU merge. Maybe he would be so kind as to post again?
