I was confused , somewhat excited them suddenly relieved. I was thinking Allison Brie , then did a double take and saw it was Brie Larson, still love me some allison brie though.
 
She may not be the bombshell I was looking for but I love the idea of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers. Love her in Room, she totally deserved the Oscar win for that.
 
Brie Larson seems like an "it" girl choice.

Maybe she has the acting chops, but I don't see the stature or presence.
 
Is this Marvel Studios or Fox Studios?

If it's the former... they have full Ippy approval for any and all production choices for the foreseeable future. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt after somehow getting me excited to see yet another Spiderman movie + Black Panther.

I'm even letting their Doctor Strange casting choice for Ancient One slide, now that I know the reasoning behind it. It's blatant pandering, but I see where they're coming from.

That movie was fantastic, and it was mostly because her performance was so good.
 
Would net a nerdgasm if they somehow tease or introduce Richard Rider in this and tie him to the GOTG as well..... sigh a man can dream :rolleyes:

She's a great actress, but I don't know if she really fits the role. Like you said, a more "in your face" bombshell would be ideal, she's supposed to be one of the most powerful in the universe.

The first Thor was good.

The second Thor was shit, but still entertaining enough.

Iron Man 3 was shit, but still entertaining enough.

Age of Ultron was a diamond in the rough, and underrated. It was technically better than the first Avengers, and had a more cohesive plot and better overall acting. The only advantage the Avengers had was that it was the first movie that brought them all together, and thus has more of a nostalgia factor in everyone's memories.
 
Seriously, the first Avengers made no goddamn sense, and most people never even realized it because it was just so cool to see all of those heroes together in the same movie.

Some of the delivered lines were cringe-worthy, too. Loki's "something something.... THE WAR!" made me recoil, and Black Widow somehow pulling one over on the literal/figurative god of mischief with some horrific acting left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't know what the motivation behind the change , they could have been more corny and made it Major Marvel since Carol Danvers was an airforce major , any ways she doesn't even wear the hotter Ms Marvel Get up anymore .
