I used to love Neve Campbell. She’s from my area and first caught her in a show called Catwalk. Have never seen the nudes and I’m afraid to see after reading these comments.

I must admit I never really had a thing for her(not being much of a modern horror viewer) so perhaps that coloured it but I didn't think she looked THAT bad for what 34? I'm assuming its "I Hate My Job" were talking about? drama in a restaurant where she strips off infront of the customers to give a speech and you could argue is not really filmed to seem very sexy.

I know Brie actually did workout for this role, but she still just looks like a normal chick. If chicks want to complain about there not being enough female heroes in movies, when are they going to put on their big girl super capes and put in the workout to actually LOOK the part?
None of these girls ever have a hint of muscle tone on them, they're just skinny, or not fat.

To be fair though a lot of the reason for this is due to what most male audiences find attractive isn't it? outside of Sherdog 6 packs on women are generally not viewed as being so.

Just how they depict her character as well is probably going to be an issue isn't it? more someone flying/blasting things rather than throwing trucks at people probably needs less of a muscled look.

I'm guessing this might well be a "before" picture? basically a costume to play down her physique so that it can be played up with something skin tight post power gain.

I know it's not going to be the exact same, because it is harder for women to put on muscle, so I don't expect them to be as ripped as guys like Jackman, or Mamoa, or Hemsworth get.
But, Gal just looks like a string bean vegan. Scarlet looks like she does Yoga.
None of these girls really have much muscle tone.
At least get some arm definition and some thighs/booty. They can definitely still be attractive and have a little tone to them.
lol That side by side photo of Holland and Brie is just sad .

Again I do think what male audiences find attractive is a big driver here although you could argue that certainly highlights some degree of hypocrisy when pushing "feminism".

As I said as well I think it depends rather what you show, I found it less of an issue with Scarlet as Widow because the character has never been shown to be especially strong, more about agility and athletic kicks which she does have the hips/butt to make pretty credible. Larson throwing massive rocks around looking like that would I'd agree seem a bit strange but again I suspect a rather different look for a powered up version and perhaps super strength played up less? doesn't the character have flight and energy weapon like powers in the comics?

I thought Scarlett would've made a good Scarlet Witch.

Not a reason to not have and ass, men like it, women that train have it, even chicks dig the ass cause is something they can be proud as they workout hard to build one (unlike tits).

And I disagree, I think a characther like Captain Marvel actually needs a physical presence, just like guys playing Superman have been over 6 feet, she needs to be taller and a build to have a godness/amazonian presence.

Captain Marvel is not supposed to be Supergirl , but actually more like Marvel's Superman.

Gal is at least tall for a women (she is like 5,10) she can be 6 feet with heels or boots.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with Scarlet, but that's also partly because she's usually in a full body suit.
And as you said, she relies on agility and such, and she does have the legs/butt to make her look credible. Larson is not terrible, but going forward, as more female heroes come aboard, especially ones with strength powers, they should look the part, imo.

But i think they can add muscle tone to the females and STILL keep males attracted to them. We don't necessarily need to go Linda Hamilton/T2 levels of veiny arms, but something like a prime Angela Basset. She has muscles, but she isn't over the top, or gross looking.

She isn't huge, but you can definitely see she has muscle.

I think Captain Marvel has similar powers to Superman and goddamn look at Henry Cavill.

Also, I think a nice ass sells tickets.

My major concer is that she looks too small to really play the characather, I know its really difficult to find women over 5,10, that are pretty and can act, but just imagine that was Superman in the picture of the right looking like a manlet.

Scarlett can play the small/speedy russian gymnast so I see no problem with her heigh.

I could see it. I think Scarlett is pretty versatile though--i could see her in quite a few roles actually.
She wouldn't make a bad Sue Storm, imo.

I'm confused. Does she have 3 tits in this picture or are they just really unnaturally wide apart?
lol 3 tits. I didn't even notice, i forgot about it.
That was from the show "American Horror Story'
She was the 3 tittied circus lady

Nooooo... Anyone BUT Sue Storm. She's too hot to be playing an invisible character.

If they had Demi Moores shape in strip tease I feel that would be ok.

Yeah a bodysuit does potentially make a big difference, I mean I think Scarlett did put on more muscle and lose some fat for Ghost but still obviously benefited a lot from it.

To be fair as well that character does show you that there's always been a fundamental difference in the way unnaturally strong male and female characters are presented. I mean yes superman is obviously vastly stronger a man his size would be but he's still a very big muscled guy relative to most men, female superheroes have tended to not push things that far, there generally in good shape but not so abnormally as the male ones.

Again the impression I get is that the costume we've seen thus far might be her pilots suit rather than her final getup, you could argue I spose that it might also be a bit of a reaction to most female characters having costumes showing off there curves.

I do wonder whether Marvel will look to show her as a "female superman", partly due to the problems the male character obviously creates in terms of lack of danger against anyone but the most super powerful villians, partly because they already have a super strong character in the Hulk whilst they've just potentially lost one who flys and fires energy beams. I mean Superman is Superman, you can't really not show him as having his extreme power levels because its in the public perception so much but this character less so.

You can add in as well that generally Marvel haven't looked to show really extreme powers for any of their characters thus far bar Thor with Stormbreaker and the Hulk at points although he obviously comes with serious flaws that could limit a "most powerful" lable. She could be considerably below superman but still be above anyone else.
