Law Capitol Rioter Megathread

Robert S. Palmer, 54, of Largo, Fla., pleaded guilty in October to assaulting law enforcement officers with a dangerous weapon, and his original plea agreement called for a sentencing range of 46 to 57 months. But after his plea, and his entry into the D.C. jail, Palmer arranged to make an online fundraising plea in which he said he did “go on the defense and throw a fire extinguisher at the police” after being shot with rubber bullets and tear gas.

That was a lie, Palmer admitted Friday. He had thrown a fire extinguisher — twice — a large plank and then a four- to five-foot pole at police before he was struck with one rubber bullet. The falsehood indicated a failure to accept responsibility for his actions, prosecutors argued, and when U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan agreed, she increased his sentencing range to 63 to 78 months, ultimately imposing a 63-month term.

lol because of the bullshit he wrote on his crowdfunding page trying to portray the role of the victim, this maga muppet got an extra 6 months tacked on to the maximum sentence of his plea agreement. he really owned the libs on that one!

Patriot Rob was playing 5D chess in court. Unfortunately for him, the deep state judge and prosecution all suffer from TDS.

You know when the "Q-Shaman" got religion and realized he'd been suckered?

When Lil' Wayne got a pardon and he was left holding his loincloth.

the qanon shaman didnt have enough bitcoin to buy a pardon. sucks for him. but at least he had the courtesy to thank the judge after he sentenced him to prison. i'm sure he'll be enjoying plenty of organic meals in the klink.

Proud Boys member pleads guilty to conspiring to obstruct Congress on Jan. 6

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A member of the far-right Proud Boys group pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiracy and obstructing Congress from certifying President Joe Biden's election on Jan. 6.

Matthew Greene, 34, of Syracuse, New York, could face up to five years in prison for the conspiracy charge and 20 years for obstructing an official proceeding.

He is the first self-described member of the Proud Boys to plead guilty for his role during the attack, which disrupted a joint session of Congress meeting to formally certify the November 2020 presidential election victory of Democrat Biden over then-President Donald Trump, a Republican."

He probably should've stood back and stood by instead of storming the Capitol on Jan 6th.

He agreed to sing like a song bird as well.

"But he could receive a sentence of 41 to 51 months because he agreed to cooperate with investigators, Mr. Kasmarek said."

Keep facts out of this emotional response thread. Let the nutso’s believe what they want to believe.

so much projection. speaking of nutso, and being all about the facts, why dont you go ahead and tell us about that little "stolen" election of yours, and all of that evidence that was never once proven in court, and never will be for as long as you live?

mountains of evidence! have they released the kraken yet? have they stopped the steal? trust the plan bro. did that crackhead pillow salesman overturn the election yet? perhaps the ghost of JFK Jr. is going to reveal himself and then constitutionally reinstate diaper don as president before the superbowl at the very latest?

hey, do you remember that time last january where a whole bunch of antifa and BLM supporters flew across the country to peacefully attend a trump rally ? oh yeah, and then they stormed the capitol buildiing because these self-proclaimed patriots were extremely mad that their guy won the election. they decided to beat up a bunch of cops and smear shit all over the walls. i might have gotten them mixed up with somebody, but didnt they call themselves the party of law and order? back the blue. blue lives matter! something like that anyways right?

of course he did. theyll drop dime on everyone. and then he'll try to thump his bible on sentencing day, right before the judge smokes him anyways. anything to try to escape having to be accountable for his actions.these maga muppets are all one and the same. they make themselves look tough on the outside, but inside they are all a bunch of emotional pussies.

i mean look at these chuds all cosplaying like a bunch of militia all hard as fuck on a mission to peacefully hang their vice president and take back their country. and the next thing you know they are sitting in a cell waiting for diaper don to rescue them, complaining about the jail conditions and the jail food while crying for their mommy. not so badass now without your LARPing gear now, are ya?

lets see just how tough he is when he gets put in prison and another inmate leaves a honeybun on his pillow.

hey wasnt the leader of the proud boys an FBI informant as well? i guess being a rat is standard policy with this group, or is that only when they are facing punishment for their own crimes? i guess then its fair game to sell each other out right? yeah the apple doesnt seem to fall too far from the tree with this "gang" i guess. hope he enjoys his stay in the klink.

if he was a real man, he would keep his fucking mouth shut, face his charges, and hope to get offered a plea deal, or an attorney who isnt going to throw him under the bus just like big daddy trump did.

Gun-toting MAGA rioter gets early gift from feds: A Christmas Eve request for pre-trial detention

A MAGA rioter who brought a loaded gun to the United States Capitol building got notice on Christmas Eve that federal prosecutors would be asking for him to be detained in jail ahead of his trial.

NBC 4 Washington's Scott MacFarlane reports that prosecutors filed a request on Friday that Indiana resident Mark Mazza be held in pre-trial detention due to being a continued threat to public safety.

Mazza brought a Taurus revolver loaded with shotgun shells with him to the Capitol protests, although he would subsequently lose the gun during the mayhem that followed.

Mazza then falsely reported that the gun had been stolen, only for police to use surveillance footage to put him in the area where the gun was found during the Capitol riots.

In their filing, prosecutors explained how his history of violent behavior makes him unfit to be released pre-trial.

"Mazza admitted to taking the police baton on January 6... and to using it to strike a law enforcement officer in the tunnel," prosecutors allege. :Mazza further admitted that he was recently in possession of several other firearms... Defendant had armed himself with a firearm loaded with hollow point bullets and shotgun shells capable of causing serious injury and his comments about Speaker Pelosi suggest he intended to commit serious bodily harm to the Speaker of the House of Representatives."

this sightseeing tourist brought a gun to the capitol and peacefully beat up a police officer with a police baton. the party of law and order. back the blue. blue lives matter!

not only that but he admitted to wanting to shoot nancy pelosi. peacefully, i'm assuming. and last month he told investigators that him and nancy would have "hit it off" and that if he were to have found Pelosi, the investigators would be here for "another reason"

i always thought that these maga muppets were all storming the capitol building just to give nancy pelosi a hug and shake mike pence's hand. definately not one of my greatest takes!

hopefully the judge smokes this fat fuck when his sentencing day arrives. this might very well be the first one of them to at get at least a dime. especially if he tries to contest his charges, because theyve got all the surveillance of him, he assaulted a police officer with a weapon, and he brought a loaded gun inside of the capitol. but it seems as if he's cooperating with feds so maybe he'll start singing and they can work out some kind of sweetened up plea bargain. at this point its probably in his best interest, because unlike the maga muppets who just walked inside the capitol building to take selfies, this guy aint going home for a while once that judge puts down the gavel.

this chud already looks happy as fuck to have gotten his stupid ass arrested, and lost his ability to travel abroad or gain meaningful employment. pretty soon theyre gonna send him to the big house, where inmates will be leaving honeybuns on his pillow and he'll be folding their laundry and calling them daddy.

Trump asks Supreme Court to block House Jan. 6 riot panel from getting White House records
NBC News
Former President Donald Trump asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to block a demand for White House records from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot by a mob of Trump supporters.

The request came two weeks after two lower courts rejected Trump’s argument that the records are protected by executive privilege, a legal doctrine that allows some White House communications to be kept private.

President Joe Biden had declined to invoke privilege over the disputed documents.

The Supreme Court is not obligated to hear Trump’s lawsuit, which seeks to prevent the National Archives from giving the House committee hundreds of pages of records from the Trump White House.

The former president asked that until the Supreme Court decides whether to take his case, it blocks the records from being sent to the panel in the meantime.

House panel asks Supreme Court to say by mid-January whether it's taking Trump's January 6 records case
CNN
Former President Donald Trump appealed to the Supreme Court on Thursday to block the release of documents from his White House to the House committee investigating the January 6 riot at the Capitol, escalating his effort to keep about 700 pages of records secret.

Hours after Trump's request was filed, the House committee asked the justices to expedite their consideration of the request, with a proposed schedule that would allow the court to say by the middle of next month whether it was taking up the case.
The committee, which is charged with investigating the US Capitol attack to provide recommendations for preventing such assaults in the future, seeks the documents as it explores Trump's role in trying to overturn the election. That includes his appearance at a January 6 rally when he directed followers to go to the Capitol where lawmakers were set to certify the election results and "fight" for their county. The documents are currently held by the National Archives.
In filings submitted to the Supreme Court on Thursday, Trump asked the justices to take up a full review of the case and he requested that while they consider his position, they put a hold on the lower court decision permitting the disclosure of his records while they consider taking up the case.

Damn, its looking like he might be found guilty of trespassing.

With a lawyer like theirs, they'll probably be up on charges for the Kennedy assassination next week.
