'Just kill me now': Capitol rioter, 29, out on bail 'attempts to commit suicide by cop' outside a Denny's in North Carolina and is arrested for DUI with assault rifle in his car

  • James Grant, 29, from Garner, North Carolina, allegedly attempted to flee and told officers 'just kill me,' and 'it's over,' during the incident on December 7
  • Garner Police officer said they responded to a suicide threat outside a Denny's diner on 4380 Fayeteville Road, and found Grant inside his car
  • He told officers about his involvement in the Capital riot and proceeded to ask them to 'just kill (or shoot me),' and 'it's over,' before attempting to flee
  • Grant was arrested on September 29 after the DOJ filed charges against him in connection to the Capital riot
  • He was charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon or inflicting bodily injury, civil disorder and other charges
  • Prosecutors are now attempting to revoke his bail, arguing that Grant's freedom is cause of concern for the community

Imagine having an exit strategy where Denny’s was your last meal.

And now he spends the new year behind bars. It's dumbfounding how people could allow themselves to be duped by a con-man.

Being an 1/6 insurrectionist is much worse than assassinating a POTUS.

Still the same outcome of demoralizing a nation.

he also assaulted two capitol police officers with a metal barrier. judges never take too kindly to people who attack police with weapons. i hope he enjoys his stay with the big boys. the dudes fresh meat for the takings. it probably won't be too long until they put that honeybun on his pillow and james becomes a jamie.

theyre definately gonna revoke his bond after this stunt. he most definately isnt allowed to be anywhere near a firearm as part of his bail conditions, and i'm sure theyve made that extremely clear to him before they released him. he'll be in it for the stay now, and he didnt even get his suicide-by-cop wish granted to him for christmas either.

Assaulting, Resisting or Impeding Certain Officers Using a Dangerous Weapon or Inflicting Bodily Injury
Civil Disorder
Obstruction of an Official Proceeding
Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds
Disorderly and Disruptived Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds
Entering and Remaining in Certain Rooms in the Capitol Building
Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building
Act of Physical Violence in the Capitol Grounds or Buildings
Parading, Demonstrating or Picketing in a Capitol Building

thats quite the resume. this peaceful patriot will definately be doing some time for that. with any luck maybe donnie will bail him out this time, and they can hide him away at the mar-a-lago where nobody will ever find him, right next to donnie's box of tax returns, health care plan, and evidence of 2020 election fraud.

Yeah, he's not going to do "well" in prison.

"Did the candidate they fought for send any money to those who fought for them?"

well he won't be able to escape it. try telling a judge that he didnt do anything wrong or that theyve got the wrong guy when theres all kinds of surveillance footage of him attacking cops and gaining entry through the broken window, and they searched his phone and found an image that was taken at 3:06 PM on january 6th of him taking a selfie inside of a senators office. he's done.

Reading these arrests and re-arrests, it’s actually a relief to know the majority of the judicial system regards the Jan 6 insurrection as a serious offense.

With media reporting opinions across the board, it’s easy to step back and think “was this really a big deal?” Maybe not as big a deal as some on the left make it out to be, but judges and jurists have almost universally shown there will be consequences for these actions. Even from judges appointed by Trump.

Maybe its just me, but I'm seeing a difference in policing here.

Any new thoughts one year later?
Why didn’t they arrest the guy from Arizona who was yelling about storming the Capitol in the days before January 6th and then on January 6th is seen on camera walking up and whispering something to a guy at the barricades right before they are knocked down and the sea of asshats sauntered into the Capitol.

If I'm being honest, I feel like the Capital riot was sorta junior varsity compared to the bulshit we get everytime some fucktard gets shot by a police officer for being a dumbass. Yeah, those people were retaded, but they didn't even really destroy the place. The vast majority of them didn't even know why the fuck they were there. It's not like it was some coordinated attack on America. It was just stupid fucking people that formed a mob, no different than any other riot or violent protest.

I lean left politically, and I love trashing conservative America, but I have trouble with the capital riot because it would seem incredibly hypocritical to make a big deal out of that when you consider what happens in amost every major city in the United States pretty much every summer now.

Outside of woke culture, it's my biggest issue with the left. I mean, the left just fucking sucks when it comes to Law & Order. I'm not saying the right is doing much better, but at least they fucking attempt to uphold the law.

Got a pic?

The guy who played Jimmy Pesto on the animated show Bob's Burgers has been banned from the set because he was caught at the Capitol and the FBI was like "Who dis?"

Really not a story. People were held accountable and arrested and rightfully so. The bigger story is the thousands of violent BLM protesters that were not even given summons. Just let go. Assaulting cops, Pissing and graffiti on churches, setting cars on fire, looting, just let go.

Yup, they were treated exactly the same.
