Canelos team forgot to pay ahead

There was controversy over all the early rounds (first 4) going to Canelo. Doug Fischer, the editor-in-chief of Ring Magazine, is calling for those judges to be investigated. It's not gonna happen but that's what he believes should happen. Same goes for the rest of The Ring's ratings panel that were there ringside covering the fight. Bivol did outland him in each of those rounds yet the judges gave Canelo all 4 of them. It's suspicious to say the least. Mike Coppinger had an issue with it as well. These are respected journalists and figureheads of the boxing industry that were actually there ringside scoring it themselves.
As we both know, boxing isn't scored by counting punches. Power punches were as even as could be and we know thats what judges look for.

I'm trying to recall a fight where someone won but people still claim he got robbed. This seems like a new one.

I'm not saying it's scored by counting landed punches. I am saying that giving all 4 early rounds to Canelo is highly suspicious. Neither fighter did much early and Bivol had outlanded him clearly in some of those rounds. I could see it being even 2-2 or Bivol 3-1 but Canelo 4-0 is viewed as inexplicable (and indefensible) by the boxing industry, fans, and media.

I'm not sure how a rematch goes, but you'd think Bivol would come forward more (only natural to think Canelo can't hurt him---he didn't through 12) and that may actually change the whole fight. But I tend to agree that Canelo should avoid it.
I had it 115-113, but gave Canelo the nod in a couple rounds I thought very close. I did not give Canelo the first four rounds, I think I gave him one or two of those. Would have to go back and check the RBR thread. I don't have any problem with 116-112 or even 117-111 Bivol and don't think you could have it any closer than 115-113 looking at that fight overall. But I did get 115-113 Bivol.
Wow you are horrible at judging.

First few rounds looked like an easy fight for Canelo, IMO.

It amused me how people have this outrage that people gave close rounds to Canelo then in the next breath proudly state Bivol won 11 rounds.
LOL no man, just no. 2-2 for the first 4 rounds was already generous, giving Canelo all 4 is sus as hell.

Those scores were all over the place though. If 3 judges score the fight exactly the same as me, I'm confident I did just fine. This forum thinks every fight is rigged. Its ridiculous.
You guys justifying why you had it for Canelo is the problem, and its why those judges will keep scoring like that for Canelo.

Which sort of proves how controversial the cards were surely?

You might be the only person I have heard claim the card was not controversial. Sort of a pattern with you. It seems the more than everyone disagrees with you, the more convinced you are of being right. Fascinating.

You're welcome to your opinion like everyone else.
Yes and welcoming everyones opinions aside, we are also welcomed to critique others opinions as well especially if they are utter garbage. If we want to argue close rounds going to either or why is it that Canelo got 4/4? not even 1 to Bivol? I wonder Why all 4 HAD to go to Canelo? What if there was no name attachment there? What if that was some 2-8 scrub for the first four rounds?

No one is looking for your approval. I scored the fight live, had Bivol winning 7 rounds, which seems about right to me. Judges were in agreement with my score. I saw several posters I know well who had it close as well. 115/113 bivol, 116/112 maybe. People saying Bivol won 11 rounds are simply doing what they are accusing me and others of and giving every close round to the guy who fights the way they like and scoring blocked punches. Same thing they say Canelo fans are doing.
You don't like Canelo or his style, you've made that clear for a long time so we're supposed to pretend you're not going to have bias scoring? Please.

I didn't give all 4 of the first rounds to Canelo. You're aware I had Bivol winning the fight?

You are now using bias to overeach and focus on "well some people had it 11 rounds for Bivol". Who cares?

The fact that the vast majority of people agreed with the score of someone who does not like Canelo sort of proves how clearly one sided the fight was.

Is this shit thread still going on?
Some people aren't even happy with Canelo losing. They have to now commit character assassination through conspiracy theories that Canelo controlled all 3 judges to make him lose, but not by a lot.

Wow you are horrible at judging.
Go back to the RBR and tell me what you get versus what I got, I guess. Did you score it? I did live, haven't watched it through/run it back on the scoring.

Those were three seasoned judges, three of the very best and they ALL had it 115-113. Perhaps some self-reflection here is necessary on your part?

I also had 115/113 Bivol, as did that poster you quoted who has posted in the boxing forum for years and all 3 official pro judges.
What was your score?
