Trout would kill him. Lincecum lands the overhand.

Come on now, you were probably shaking your head as you wrote that.

And no one can name an NHL "athlete" who could make it in another sport.

Holy lols.

Tom Glavin was drafted in the nhl, but chose baseball because you get paid more to do less. You can honestly work 1 day a week as a pitcher, sometimes once every 2 weeks. The rest of the time you just hang out with the boys, crush a few beers and some dominoes pizza, because you don't want to over work that arm.

Someone PM me when Breakitdown shows up to tell us about his 600 lb. bench and how he played NHL growing up in Cali.

TS based this thread on jeff samarjzia (SP) playing peewee football lmao.

whoa whoa whoa u was talking about the concept of sport and calling hockeyball a gimmick "kind of like cricket"

sauce:

Talking about the sport not the atholeets who play it

Yeah but baseball has athletic aspects.

Faust could any NHL player go pro in another sport?

hockey players do shifts of 30-60 seconds out of strategy.
coaches want them at their best.
could they play longer?
of course, look when lines get stuck out there.

also, do you even skate, bro?
grew up playing pond hockey in upstate NY.
shit will wear you out.

Name a hockey player that could go pro in another sport.

Ogie Ogilthorpe was drafted by the Bears prior to being drafted by Syracuse back in 1975.

The guy from Slapshot?

I've been to Johnstown where they filmed that and there is a street named Ogilthorpe.

So Tom Glavin from the MLB could play in the NHL but no one from the NHL could play in the MLB. Thanks.

Awww you're trying...

Too bad this is about the top 4 sports athleticly or else

Jockeys > All

If we're being honest shouldnt age also determine things. If you hit 35 in most sports its close to over and you're well out of your prime, unless you're Mr. greatness himself, Oldman Riverwalk, The big fundamental Tim "Superhero" Duncan

In baseball 35 is still your prime

So are you guys going to name at least one NHL "athlete" that could make it in the other leagues?

Why would you go for another league, when you are pro in a sport where owners are completely willing, across the board, to lose money every season to watch you play just like your parents did? Lmfao

Lol you still can't name an NHL player who could go pro in another sport.

It's baseless speculation. Look up Justin Morneau's (2006 AL MVP) time as the back up to a back up goalie in WHL to see an example of a two sport athlete. Or maybe JJ Watt giving up hockey for football.

Also have multiple sauces discrediting the "poorness" of hockey players.
