Sometimes he seems like a great guy to be around,and then sometimes he shows up and you can see the black cloud above his head,the cross on his back,and the chip on his shoulder soon as he walks in,and hes just gotta be shitty all day then.

All of this is what made him such a great fighter though. He wants it bad.

I agree, there is a maximum delusion level per fighter, and Silva fans have already maxed out. But the ceiling of of delusion on ferguson is much much higher because his accomplishments are so much lower. And his nuthuggers have already exceeded the Silva ceiling.

Also, how can you not include Ben Askren? Dude legit basically beat no one ever and was touted as the GOAT WW and would beat GSP then he lost to everyone in the UFC.... everyone. He got one bullshit win over Lawler after Lawler KO"ed him with ground and pound and woke him up and the fight was stopped while Lawler was giving a thumbs up.

Yes. And I suspect he will continue to fight well into his 40's, with no one being able to convince him otherwise. Outside of his family Tony has always shown respect to Bravo. But if Bravo is the 1 guy to convince him to stop, he's not the man for the job. He is OK if fighters keep going past their prime, as that is their choice, no matter the damage.

I guess that's fair with his documented mental health issues, that said, it's hard to forget the Werdum scrum and comments towards opponents (that he loses to). He's also super egotistical to the point of detriment. The worst part is you know he knows what he needs to fix, he just pretends to have a better way. For example, after Justin gave Tony a boxing lesson, he went on Ariel's show saying he knows how to hit kits properly and that he teaches a system (same episode where he said Justin should be thanking him). Direct quote "I'm coaching coaches". The man can't get out of his own way.
