I would agree that Zhang has more chances than Rose. Namajunas is so physically weak compared to Andrade (as we could see in their fight) that it's not even funny and lacking decent clinch game and control her instincts as fighter. Zhang I think at least has some strength, but it won't be easy. I think Andrade is a little bit depleted, she has many fights as strawweight, was looking leaner vs Rose (but it's just my opinion) and this fight is about what kind of Andrade will show up, if Andrade ready to rumble I think Zhang will be in troubles. Last time Andrade faced "physical" fighter was Gadelha almost two years ago, so we can have not really great data about how really strong is Andrade. She can still lift bitches, that for sure, so her core strength is still there.Your point is valid, but we've never seen Weili play the matador. She is always the bull (as well) and always using her power to break down her opponents. If Weili can keep Jessica on the end of her kicks, she could piece her up early and maybe take the aggressiveness out of Andrade. But, I can't really envision that. Instead, I think they'll will go right at each other - like a "phone booth fight" - and in that case, I give Andrade the edge. I think Andrade will take her down (or knock her down) and the beat her until the fight is stopped. That being said, I think Weili has a better shot at winning than Rose had.

I guess I always assume fighters with the tools to win will have coaches that pick a suitable gameplan.Your point is valid, but we've never seen Weili play the matador. Are you slow? I never said she didn't make weight. Wasn't my argument. If you are so intent on shoving something into someone's mouth see your fearless leader who showed up for you again. So a half pound under is barely making weight? It’s like you forget how the internet works, because I literally said earlier (and you quoted the post), that she was 114.5 for both of her title fights.
You said she is having a hard time with the weight cuts, but yet again, you're trying to steer the argument and put words in my mouth, instead of back up your assertions. Are you slow? I never said she didn't make weight. Wasn't my argument. If you are so intent on shoving something into someone's mouth see your fearless leader who showed up for you again.
It's obvious Andrade is having a hard time with the weight cuts. Can totally see her having a poor cut/recovery and just turning in a completely shit performance ala Joanna at UFC 217.
Nobody can keep cutting weight. At some point something will give. Could be this fight and if it's not this one it could be the next. She faces potentially pretty nasty opponents from here on out. I wouldn't expect the UFC to go easy on her. Don't think they care about her one bit as champ.
I don't care, it's not like her being a dominant fighter effects me in any way, I just wanna see a scrap. Joanna is my girl. But is she a great fighter? I see her as a worse version of Joanna so even if she beats Andrade I am not sure she can keep the belt for long from Joanna and Rose. Plus others like Suarez.
i will agree.... but i kinda understand why they are where they are.Yeah those are pretty low odds considering she's the champ though.
lol wtf? Those odds are very suspicious. Andrade should be -300 at least. I would skip betting on this fight or bet a little on Zhang. Just feels like a bookies trap to me.
Do you smell an upset here? It feels like it. Watching some of her highlights and she is definitely an incredible fighter. Andrade is just such a little pitbull though. Although against lesser competition for the most part...she has shown that she is a finisher. (19 Wins- 9 Knockouts, 7 Submissions and 3 Decisions)
with only 1 blemish on her record, which came in the form of a decision loss in the first fight of her career.
EDIT- It would obviously be an upset to most of us here on Sherdog and in the MMA community as a whole...But the majority of the oddsmakers have Jessica Andrade at around (-180) and Weili Zhang hovering around (+150)....which seems alot closer to 50/50 than I would have guessed.

I don't even think its much of an upset at all I expect her to win.
She's good but lets be honest she hasn't faced anyone. Aguilar is washed and Taylor/Torres are midgets who can be overpowered. How can she deal with Andrade relentless pressure?
You said she is having a hard time with the weight cuts, but yet again, you're trying to steer the argument and put words in my mouth, instead of back up your assertions.
When you make assertions such as "fighter x is having a hard time with the weight cuts" either back up your arguments, or be prepared to get called out on your bullshit.
in fact, here's your original quote, with the relevant parts in bold:
So what proof do you offer to back up your claims?
