Can Weili Zhang pull off the upset?

She has a good chance. She has looked like a beast and Andrade has obvious weaknesses. I think it will all boil down to how she deals with the pressure.
 
Does Zhang have a TMA or kung-fu background? Its seems like it when she fights.
 
I think Zhang is really good and she would probably beat most of the fighters in the division, but she will get caught trading with Andrade too much, and the damage will start to wear her down. She has a habit of trading punches when she is pressured and cant rely on her grappling. She wont be able to rely on her grappling against Andrade.

You do realize that -180 translates to a 64% chance of winning right?

ie: A bet on Andrade is a good bet if you believe her odds of winning are better than 64%

If Zhang is +150 that means she's being assigned a 40% chance of winning. If you think her odds are better than 40%, she's a good bet.
 
Admittedly I don't know much about wmma, but having seen both of them fight I don't really think it would be an upset. I see it as more of a pick em.
 
It's a really interesting match-up and I don't know what to expect.

I’m not saying there aren’t doubters like yourself who can make a good argument for Andrade, I’m saying that most seem to be picking her purely out of being contrarian.
 
She's more skilled than Andrade imo, but Andrade is much more powerful presumably

I know I am amped as F about this fight...I cant wait....When they say it starts a 3-3:30 am ET wtf is that...Saturday or sunday am?
 
I have Zhang and feel that she's on another level than Andrade. Yes Andrade is strong, but imo Zhang is a far better fighter.
I love the fact that she's a dog as well so I put some cash on her. I'll post my bet slip later when I don't feel lazy.
 
If Zhang fights smart she should win. If she brawls with Andrade it could get ugly.

I like Zhang's chances.
 
Zhang is gonna maul Andrade. Andrade will walk into her shots until she's TKO'd and will struggle with takedowns.
 
i think putting a small flyer on zhang makes a lot of sense. she has very good footwork, maybe even 3rd best in the division. andrade isnt the best in this weight class, but has tools that make up for the lack of specific skills. if andrade cant beat her within 2 rounds, zhang takes it. if we look at the objective "styles make fights" way, zhang has the ability to make this a very long night for the current champ.

i'll go out with the minority here and say zhang will pull a JJ/rose and piece andrade up fom the outside. some will claim the fight is boring ,etc etc, but it will expose andrade more than anything else.
