Vettori did gas in round 3 but recovered nicely in 4-5. He had only been training for a 3 rounder.
I think he's too hittable to be champ but he'd likely try to use more wrestling against Adesanya or Whittaker.

This was a great fight though and Vettori just proved what he's been saying. He deserved a fight with someone closer to the top. Credit to Jack for taking the fight.

It’s about the styles though. Jack is tough and relentless but MV was bigger and stronger and was on point with his defensive grappling. In a pure standup affair Jack is solid but not great. This fight has almost nothing in common with what an Adesanya rematch would be. If MV can get takedowns, sure, but if not he’s getting destroyed.

I agree, both guys have improved since their first one and the way to beat Izzy will to constant grind him like a guy like Martin will do. Izzy has had it easy considering he has has kickboxing matches for the most part in his mma career.

You're acting like vettori is going stand with izzy for 25 minutes. Do you know that Marvin's a wrestler, not a striker? He strikes really well but he's mainly a wrestler. And wrestling is izzy biggest weakness.

I agree he's not likely to win against adesanya in a stand up affair, but even at that "destroyed" is not what i think it would happen, first of all he's a competent striker in himself and second there is a motive the first fight between them was close. Vettori isn't a static fighter, thats not the type of fighter israel usually destroys on the feet
