Can Strickland cause Izzy problems with his aggression+volume?

Sean needs to bring something different to the table. He can only win if he gets it to the ground, or randlemans izzy by faking a takedown and throwing a hard punch. that's his only way to win. he needs to do something wild, unpredictable, and talk a lot of trash in the build up to the fight.

Sean could probably make Iggy explode
I think you are giving Sean far too much credit. DDP triggered Izzy for 2 reasons:
1. Race Baiting which was so effective as DDP is Dutch in his heritage and the Dutch were the first who colonized African countries and were significant players in the slave trade.
2. DDP poses a threat to Izzy in the cage, especially Fixed Nose DDP.

Sean poses virtually no threat at all and his trash talk is Silly and Cartoonish.

No. No striker besides Alex will give Israel trouble at middleweight. It will take an outstanding wressler like Bo or Chimaev to make things interesting. This is a shit fight.

Israel enjoys a reach advantage over most opponents. He has never been jabbed away by a shorter opponent. Strickland is also very basic with his kicking. He is predominantly a puncher. I don't believe Israel has to aim for the finish. Izzy can outwork him in a sparring match. There isn't much of a threat in terms of power by Strickland.

First time for anything

I believe Strickland will put his usual pressure on early, get countered heavily, and Izzy will circle out and reset. A number of cycles of this will start to frustrate Strickland because it is the majority of his strategy. Can't see this being a favorable performance for Strickland and I'll be surprised if he lasts the duration.

TBH there wasn't much countering...maybe because Sean broke him mentally after the 1st...

I don't think Strickland gives him problems anywhere. He doesn't have the power to give Izzy pause, and doesn't have the footwork to get far enough inside to generate any real offense. I think Izzy styles on him here.

Again the power....it's like he never finished anyone with punches...

Wasn't just some fluke KO

Sean exposed Izzy in all aspects of MMA striking, offensively and defensively for 5 rounds

Sean was always a better striker than Izzy

I’ll be surprised if Strickland lands anything significant. When he closed the distance, Adesanya will smack him up with sharp punches and longer reach. When he’s outside the punching range, Adesanya will kick his legs. Maybe occasional high kick.

The worst match up for Strickland. At least he gets paid….

He gets paid, right?

{<doc}

Yep, and will have nice salary jump

Strickland is way too slow and flat footed, I think Adesanya will just leg kick him like crazy and win a unanimous decision. I expect lots of leg kicks and some body kicks from Adesanya and the odd head kick thrown in now and then and he will be too fast and accurate. Strickland is tough though and I think he won't get finished but Adesanya will win a clear decision.

Well TBF he did land quite some leg kicks, but overall was too busy eating punches
