Can Khamzat still shoot like that past 30?

Khamzat has the best shot in the UFC I think. Of course he has flawless technique but it’s also attributes based. Explosivity, dexterity, hip mobility and speed needed to achieve that shot is not something that fighters keep for a long time in their 30‘s I think.

Khamzat also has excellent top control and this is something that he will keep on improving. But what is Khamzat without his shot? How many fighters have such a shot in their 30‘s?

Good point, he needs to expedite his title run already or we'll be robbed of seeing him in his absolute prime challenging for/defending the belt. It's impossible to imagine a 35 year old wrestler shooting like that.

If he stays healthy he can definitely maintain it. He does seem very strong for his size.

GSP still had explosive takedowns against Bisping, albeit it wasn’t close to as good as when he had healthy knees.

He changed his training camp entirely, he used to train at Allstars MMA in Sweden which is a gym full of meatheads that had a lot of injuries due to overtraining which we saw with khamzat's sparring partner guram kutateladze who also constantly pulls out of fights due to injury/sickness. Khamzat is now training at an olympic center in Elbrus with olympic conditioning coaches and a doctor so I don't think he will be overtrained like before, seems to have finally learnt his lesson after being hospitalized prior to the whittaker fight in June

dont try and sugar coat canzat pulling out of fights because he had the sniffles.

if he sneezes, he will pull out of a fight.

i don't see it as a problem. he will just switch to working into a body lock and going for trips. BUT, then he's going to have to deal with striking instead of being totally able to avoid it with how he shoots now.

He doesn´t smoke or drink alcohol and takes care of his body. He should be able to maintain it for atleast another 5 years until his 34-35

There was a picture of him drinking I think. At the very least alcohol within reach. But maybe he still declines even while others around him are.

Well, yes, but the question is can he still shoot like that. Not are there alternatives if not.

But we have never seen this ability from him in the UFC. He did ragdoll Hermanson from the clinch in a 10-0 wrestling match though, that‘s true.
